So, I really enjoyed reading all the ideas you guys had for Christmas ideas. And it seems that the more ideas I read about, the more fun it is to shop!
And since I’m trying to avoid the Christmas craziness this year and enjoy the season, for the real reason, I want to give myself plenty of time to shop, wrap and most of all savor the Christmas season this year.
So that means it’s time to get serious. And I need your help.
I’ve broken the gift ideas into categories according to the age of the recipient. Keep in mind, gift ideas can be for boys or girls:
Toddler ~ 1.5 – 3 years
Elementary ~ 4 – 7 years
Youth ~ 8 – 12 years
Young adult ~ 13 – 20 years
Adult ~ older. Ideas for yourself, your husband or any other, er, adult
To make this more fun and festive (and who doesn’t loooove festive?) I’m giving away five $25 Amazon gift cards, awarded to the very bestest idea in each of all five categories (US addresses only, peeps). I’ll be reposting this Mr. Linky for the next several weeks, so if you enter now, you’ll still be linked up in the weeks to come.

PLEASE enter the url to your specific post about gift ideas, not just your blog address. To get that url, just click on the title of your gift giving post on your blog. Copy the url from your browser and paste it into Mr. Linky (along with your name) and that’s it!
Post a link to your gift idea in your post, or simply the url to the site. If you post a picture, please include the name of the toy. Believe it or not, we don’t watch a whole lot of prime time TV and I have NO idea what some of this stuff is. Could not pick it out of a line up… much less in the ridiculously huge toy section of T@rget.
If you don’t have a blog, feel free to leave a comment with your idea along with the category it falls under, and you’ll be entered. I’ll be visiting the linked blogs and reading all the comments and in early December, I’ll decide on the winners and award the gift cards!
Be sure to enter your ideas in the right category. If your idea would work for more than one age category, be sure to mention that… it can be entered in more than one category. But if you enter a toddler idea in the adult category, you’re probably not gonna win the gift card.
Unless… well, let’s not go there.
So, link up your gift ideas here. Be sure to note in your post or your comment which age category apply to your gift ideas.
Now let’s do some (virtual) shopping!
I'm a regular mama. Who just happens to have eleven kids.
Just one husband, though.

I have a fantastic idea for you…no…NOT the beaded silverware
but seriously….I have been asked NOT to share it with the whole world yet, so look for an email from me.
I am in LOVE with this idea!
For my girls who just started reading (elementary age) I ran across the stuff animals at Kohls "If you give a Mouse a Cookie" charcters in stuff animals for 5.oo dollars and the books as well, all profit I think go to Charity, added bonus!. I bought all 4 books and charcters. I am going to make them up in a cute basket, book and animal and some relevant items from the specific book, for the girls give them a special story time coupon good for special book time with Mom along with special pj's. I think this is so cool. It is the Crayola Glow station. Ages 6-12. My daughter loves to draw so I'm thinking of getting it.

This is not one that you can actually "Buy" – you would need to find someone to make it. But my father made a nativity set out of a single piece of wood that all fits together in a puzzle. I will see if I can find a picture of it and send it to you. But my girls have loved it from the time the oldest got it (at about 2 yo) and she still loves it at 8.
OK, loving the idea, and can't wait to see what everyone else posts. So if we linked up last time, do you want us to do it again (yeah, and maybe do it right this time? – thanks for the step by step, b/c obviously I'm very new at this). Do we do it again for the same thing or should it be a FRESH idea?
Sorry for all the questions – don't want to mess it up. Oh – and thanks for providing a much needed distraction from that wait for TA – it's driving me nuts!!!!
Ok, I linked what I would like and hope that my adoring DH willl look through my blogs. (I can dream right??) and see it!!
I love this idea Stefanie !
Since I may be in China at Christmas time – I need to get shopping !
I am looking forward to all the posts.
I did a post for ideas for boys ages 6- 12.
I linked to a book called "A Bundle of Promise." It is perfect for ages 0 to 5ish or if you're going to a baby shower anytime soon:)!
I love all the ideas!!
Ok, I asked our girls what was the best present they've gotten, and they said "The pink car!!!"

I'd put it in the ages 4-7 category, but shoot, if I could fit in it they'd never get me out.

I don't have a website, but I posted my gift idea link. A friend from church came up with these name frames" as a gift idea for her daughter's preschool teacher and they have taken off. I love ours, so personal and nice to support a nice, Christian family. This idea is more for adults, friends, or family. They do cost a little, but a great gift idea for a family or couple. So now that you have the Wii… I'd suggest MarioKart for ages 5 on up. That's what my almost 6 year old wants this year…. he might get it if he's good
I'd also suggest Magic Schoolbus books for the 6-8 year olds. The original ones and chapter ones. They're fact based so educational and quite funny. My son loves them.
How fun! Great idea! I just linked up…my pick is for the "Elementary" category…boys or girls 4-8…I am definitely getting this for Curious Kiara!
ok…i better put some memory booster on MY list because I forgot to mention the NAME of the toy in my previous comment…sigh…
Scientific Explorer's Mind BLowing Science Kit…
Just posted my favorites under "Heather" (#9) and while my son is only 6, the recommended ages are 8+ for Mancala and 7+ for Bananagrams. (And hey…what better gift is there but to buy something that allows you to spend time together as a family having fun, right?)
Love the post idea Stephanie — I'll be checking this one daily to see if I can snag some new ideas of my own!
We loved the movie The Ultimate Gift, a wonderful gift for any teenager or older age, but then my 10 yr old loved it too!

My girls love these books and I love the pictures in them. Here is one of our favorites:

My girls are ages 3-9 yrs but the books are cardboard pages so even a one or two year old could turn the pages.
I am loving all the ideas for gifts! Thank you Stefanie for starting this post, I might just enjoy Christmas shopping more this year. Try to do the most I can online so the links are very helpful. Thanks again!
What a fun way to share gift ideas
I posted a link to a sweet lovie blanket from Bunnies By The Bay. http://www.bunniesbythebay.com/product_information.cfm?ProductID=653&Category=112 It is part of a new line they have with Chinese adoption in mind, and looks so soft and sweet! They are a corporate sponsor for Half The Sky too, so the gift would keep giving (love that!) It would fall into the toddler category
Thanks so much !
