Now I know.
No TA.
Not today.
And “not anytime soon” I was told.
Why did they have to throw that in?
I’ve had my tears. Just a few, though. In a house like this, there aren’t many quiet corners to retreat to for a good cry.
And I didn’t want the kids to be sad. They’re as tired of this wait as I am, I didn’t want them to even know we *could* have heard something today.
Because we didn’t. And evidently we won’t for a while.
As always, I am completely trusting His timing. I know He won’t be a minute late.
Wendy says
I'm so sorry!
Leanne says
I'm right there with you, Stefanie!!
I feel like a CRAZY person lately.
I hide my crying in the shower…not saying that's a good thing.
We all know HIS timing IS perfect, but MAN, this waiting is HARD!
OK….going to order the Pioneer Lady's cookbook…..I'm sure that chocolate cake will make me feel a LITTLE better.
P.S.
I know Karla probably thinks I'm a lunatic. I call her, and email her for the dumbest little reasons.
I just want to know SOMETHING. ANYTHING.
Leanne says
One more P.S. ……..
I sure don't like the sound of "not anytime soon"!!!!!!!
Jenna says
I'm in a different situation, but can COMPLETELY relate! COMPLETELY. There is nothing more faith-building than waiting and complete and total trust in God's plan for your family (and the TIMING of it)!!!
I'm so sorry you haven't heard anything yet.
Cindy says
Oh Stefanie!
I don't understand either but share your peace with HIS timing. We are just barely waiting…waiting to be DTC. But I share your frustration, you've patiently waiting long enough. Hopefully a nice surprise of some news will arrive soon!

Holly says
I personally think it's okay to be sad and to cry…and for the kids to know you are missing your sweet girl. oh what a different picture NEXT Christmas will be π
BIG hugs from my neck of the woods to your frosty land,
Holly

Tara Anderson says
I know it's hard…and I'm glad you've had your tears. They can bring much needed relief! It's not easy trusting God's perfect timing when we have our hearts so set on a particular timeframe of our own…but you're right. He's never a second late!
Many Blessings,
Tara

Stephanie, I'm so sorry. I know how difficult the wait can be and when your praying to the Lord to move things along and it seems like He is silent.But even in the silence He is working, we have to lean on Him and trust. I will be praying for you as well. {{{Hugs}}}
Michelle says
I'm so sorry, Stefanie. So not the news you were waiting to hear. And yes, why do they feel the need to add "not anytime soon?" So very sorry, Stef!
DiJo says
Seriously? I am choosing to believe this is NOT true!
Call it denial, but that is what I am choosing to take from this post! It's Christmas, and Vivi is waiting for YOU my friend!
I will be praying for this to be FALSE information!
Big fat hugs from one waiting for her TA too!
Love,
Diana
Beach Mama says
I am so sorry you are having a longer wait. When we adopted our Princess we got caught up in all of the CCAA changes (2007). We waited like 180 days for our LOA. People logged in after us were receiving theirs, but not us. When our TA came, we couldn't travel. We had to send it back near expiration and request a new TA be issued. Total time waiting? 10 months. But God did AMAZING things in our family during that time. We knew it was His timing, but it still was hard. Sending cyber hugs out to you today.
mylilchunkymonkey says
Stefanie, I am so sorry. We are praying for you all. It's so hard, I know, to trust in His timing for things but just be assured that He wants her with you and He will get it done!
Mandi says
I am right there with ya in checking RQ every 5 minutes. We are waiting on our LOA today is day 81. I still have hope we will travel before March 11 (Drew's 4th birthday).
As I pray for our LOA I will also include you getting your TA

Oh Stefanie- I am so sorry- it is so hard to wait. It is down right painful.
I have my good cries in the shower. It helps a little.

Stefanie, I'm so sorry! The waiting is so very hard. You know the truth, His timing is perfect and the moment you hold Vivi the agony of the wait will fade away.
Sending hugs your way!
PS. I love the techy age we're in and the info we can get…but sometimes (only for a moment) I wished for the days of knowing nothing until the phone rang.
M3 says
Oh I'm sorry!! Sending big hugs. Oh, and hopeful thoughts for soon, soon, soon.

Stacy says
So sorry! I have to always remind myself that God sees the unseen and the unforseen! Continue to pray that God prepares your sweet Vivi's heart during this wait!! I'll be praying for you!
Lisa says
So sorry that they didn't use more gentle words…God has your timing all planned out of when you will "see" Vivi! I know that you also know that but we all have a mothers heart and just want our kiddos with us "now".
Your time is coming…
Wife of the Pres. says
OK, I was thinking, what does "not anytime soon" mean anyway???!!!
OK, if, we got ours in record speed and you got yours about the same time and that meant we would be in China at the same time possibly β¦ well that would be TOO COOL!
'Cept The Prez is probably going without me β¦ so I guess you'd have to introduce yourself and then he'd have to acknowledge you as a "real" friend and not one of my "fake" friends since he would have MET YOU IN PERSON.
I'm just sayin β¦ it COULD happen if mine came really quick and yours came then too. But what I'd like more is to see yours come on Monday morning!
a Tonggu Momma says
Oh, Stefanie… I am so very sorry. *sigh* Not what you want to hear just before Christmas, but you are right… focusing on the good helps us weather the storms.

I'm sorry! π
