I am soooo not ready for this to be here.
1000 posts?
Just seems like 999 too many.
Anyway, it is here, because I can’t seem to shut my bloggy mouth. And to celebrate this momentous occasion, here’s what I’m gonna do.
Give something away. And how many ‘somethings’ is up to you, dear readers.
I will commit to giving away one dollar for every comment left here, on this post. I’ll be hosting this comment-a-thon for one week, hoping that you guys will spread the news so you can see me go broke give away lots o’ cash.
The money will be donated to the charity closest to my heart, An Orphan’s Wish.
To help kids like Benjamin.
And Cassie.
And Isaac.
The coolest part? Is that we can take the $ raised by your comments and actually purchase something that they really need, specifically for the unit in China. Like craft supplies for $15. Or a walker for $35. Or, if you guys get really crazy and leave a ridiculous amount of comments, a well-built stroller for $120 or even a wheelchair for $135.
I’ll even let you guys pick what you want to donate, once the numbers are in. Maybe toys and shoes? Or pajamas and formula? You guys can decide.
If that ain’t cool, I don’t know what is. Actually, I probably really don’t know what cool is. But don’t hold that against the kids at An Orphan’s Wish.
We are just days away from launching the whole new rockin’ website for An Orphan’s Wish, and once it’s up, y’all will see for yourselves all the fun new ways to give to these precious kiddos in China. I seriously cannot wait.
So, whatdaya say? Let’s get this party started.

I found your post through For the Love of Our Five Chinasprouts and am happy to say hello! My husband and I have three biological children, two grown, one entering college this year, a just finished kindergarten son from China who came home at 4-1/2 and is now 6! and a daughter who is 6 but still living in China who has untreated club feet and will be having them corrected when she gets home using the Ponsetti method.

I also share your heart for the orphans. I will always be grateful for
finding your blog. I read the rules for Chinese adoption, we had five
children and "did not qualify" to adopt. I had spoke to two agencies and
they told me the same – Oh my heart grieved and I was so confused. God had deeply placed adoption on my heart and there was no question our child was in China. I cried daily as this door continued to be shut. UNTIL!!! I found your blog (never read a blog before then:) – Oh how God opened such a wonderful door that day! Praises.
My heart's desire is to serve the orphans and to adopt as many as He allows us to adopt!
