That’s how long we’ve been home with Tallula.
She continues to reveal bits and pieces of herself.
And we sure are enjoying the ride.
When we fold clothes, she loves to tell us whose laundry is whose.
She can do a number of signs.
And she’s picking up English left and right.
She is not intimidated by anything. Or anyone.
She is quick to let us know when she loves something, and when she doesn’t.
And when you find something she loves, her smile lights up the room.
She loves to be tickled.
She loves get into everything.
And she loves to tell everyone, including Seamus, what to do.
All of us.
Okay, Poppy not so much. But Tallula is working on that.

Well, Poppy was a little slow to warm to you, so it stands to reason she’d be slow to warm to Tallula as well. Just wait until she learns she can boss Tallula right back… life will change!
Blessings!

She has the most perfect looking skin I think I’ve ever seen. I want to reach through the computer and rub those adorable cheeks! She totally LOOKS smart, like her eyes are catching everything.

I don’t normally comment on your posts, but I do follow closely. However, as my home-since-December 3 year old sat next to me while I read this post, he loudly proclaimed “I like her hair!! I like that flower!” and it tickled me and I thought I’d share. Then as I read further I see that Tallula likes to identify whose wash is whose and I have to say that our new 3 year old does the very same thing. It started with him asking “Mama le? Gege le? Baba le? Jiejie le?” to EVERY SINGLE ITEM. But being that he’s an old pro now after 4 months of hard laundry work, he is now keen to tell me who every item belongs to and will argue with me if he thinks I’m wrong. I hope she keeps it up – it’s a fun time for him and for me!

She is such a beauty! And you can see her feisty personality all over her face! Tooooo cute! Would love to hear how Poppy is doing with having a new sister and Poppy and Tallula’s relationship as it is right now. My two youngest (my daughter who I just came back from China with) and my son, they are both 2, one month apart, and it was quite something for both of them in the first few weeks, a lot of adjusting, pretty difficult for them. But now they are having so much fun together and their is a real relationship developing.

She’s just so cute! I love your photos; they really capture her…she looks just as you describe her..bold, outgoing, bright, interesting, inquisitive, busy, etc. Tallula has captured my heart from afar!!!
She reminds me a lot of our Hannah, who is still our resident cruise director. Hannah is super capable, has lots of energy and can get a ton of things done, is good at planning all the family fun, keeps everyone in line and on their toes (sometimes to her sibs’ dismay!), and is never, ever boring! I love spirited kids..well,
most of the time ;^)

Tallula looks like she has a BIG personality in that cute, small package :). She’s going to be a stitch (if she isn’t already…). What a prize! And I’m sure she will win Poppy over. I suspect there is a LOT of determination in that little girl. And it will serve her well.

Too cute. I don’t think I would be able to stop kissing those cheeks. ๐ Little Miss Poppy. ๐ She’s entertaining. ๐

Okay, I have been closely following your journey to Tallula…can she be any more precious?
I’ve never commented before, but I love your blog-Chinese adoption (especially special needs) will always have a special place in my heart, and your family is incredibly beautiful.
Please keep sharing your lives with us.

She is just a beautiful little girl. We have only been home with Mia for a month and a half and I already want to adopt again.

I really need to squeeze her. Honest. I think it would just make my week to get in one big squeeze! Hang in there…Poppy will come around I’m sure! Sweet baby girls. They will be lifelong besties and they don’t even know it yet!

I love her little cheek stuffed with cereal… and that she is holding a spoon so well, but eating with her fingers. She is darling and I am sure that she and Poppy will be quite a pair someday!

Precious. Cannot wait to see how she and Poppy “work that out”. Trust they will be inseparable sisters soon!

Hi Stefanie – have always admired your photo talents but since your last visit to China, they are even more incredible! Wondering if you got a new camera or lens? How do you get her beautiful eyes to shine so much in the photos? Yes, looking forward to seeing Poppy and Tallula’s relationship bloom!
