Sunday Snapshot: {six years – a look back and a giveaway}

I know. It's not quite Sunday. But this isn't your average Sunday Snapshot, either. Today, January 28th, marks six years since I began blogging. And a few things have happened since then. Sophie came home. We moved from the midwest to the southeast. Jude came home. The blog went from "Sophie Makes Six" to "Ni Hao Y'all". Shepherd came home. We moved back to the midwest. remembering 2011

I have been wanting to do a 'year-in-review' of 2011 for a while. But it sounds sooo much easier than it is. Every time I would start thinking of every thing that transpired in 2011 - no matter where my thoughts would begin - they always took me to the same place. Esther. Man, that sadness just does not go away. But, I suppose, it shouldn't. And I'm not even sure I want it to go away, in a strange way. Sadness can break you... or sadness can grow you. i’ve missed ya

just been so scattered lately. homeschooling. researching. putting a fresh coat of stain on the swing set. and even, believe it or not, even thinking ahead to Christmas. all things new

Did y'all see? The entirely new look? And, I made the big switch from blogger to WordPress. sniff sniff. It was hard, and scary, to finally say adios to Blogger. We've been good friends for over 5 years now. But really WordPress is just so much more flexible. And user friendly. And cooler. Did I just say that? And the pictures can be bigger. how to waste a couple of hours…

perusing through totally useless information.Unless you're getting paid to blog.Which I most definitely am not.So I've warned you, right? a million

In my over-heated state, I've found myself wandering. Rambling. Mentally speaking, of course. Nothing really to say, just trying to busy myself with anything that doesn't include moving this fatigued and sweat-laden body from here to there.
