Okay, I'm not sure whether it's that I'm just plum tuckered out, or that I just really couldn't decide.Alas. I have now decided. But it wasn't pretty getting here. The winner is something I already have. Something I already use. Something I already love. And at less than $15 right now at Amazon, it's pretty much the perfect gift for anyone on your Christmas list.Dalton, my most fickle dinner-eater, typically comes home from school and asks what's for dinner with a worried look on his face. If I reply "It's a Pioneer Woman recipe!" he starts jumping up and down. … [Read more...]

I just couldn't not choose this one as the winner. If I didn't already own what I consider to be one of the most beautiful necklaces on the planet, I'd want this one. And it's significantly less moolah, which makes it perfect for anyone, especially kids in this age range. It comes with two charms included, personalized with any names you choose. You can also choose the type of lantern on each charms as well.I love total customization. It rocks my world.Another idea I really dig is TOMS.If you haven't heard of this company, you need to hear about it.Allow me to … [Read more...]

From the first mention, one idea that stood out to me was the World Vision idea. I love the thought of giving a gift that benefits someone who really needs it. And the thought of teaching selflessness and generosity in the process. But after a bit of internet research, well, I recommend doing some investigating of your own before going through World Vision to give a Christmas gift.I really hate it when a few apples spoil the whole bunch.------------------------------Okay, done with the yucky stuff...Onto the winner! Here's an idea I think is fun for the whole family. At … [Read more...]

Back to business. I took a day off, in honor of receiving word of our Article 5 (insert wild dancing and happy arm flailing). It was actually received on December 4th, we just heard about it for the first time yesterday. And that's a-okay with me since it means we've got almost an entire week of waiting under our belts. And we didn't even know it. I love it when that happens. So, here we go...Today's post is the third of five, each post representing one 'category' of Christmas List 2009. Okay.I thought I was having a hard time last night choosing a winner. But tonight is a whole 'nother ball game. I was in an indecision nightmare. So I asked my husband to come and help me decide. He managed to narrow it down to four. Out of those, I was able to narrow it down to two.But then we were stuck. I mean, these two are so different. So completely different. But both equally wonderful and certain to elicit squeals of joy from little ones this Christmas. But there can only be one winner. This one's a doozie. But unfortunately, it's the runner up.I'm still sad about … [Read more...]

School is canceled today. Evidently, you can still get snowed in all the way up here, where they honestly know how to plow the roads and can actually drive on ice and snow. So, if you've got ideas to add to today's Christmas List 2009, I'll be close by my computer to update the list, as long as the power doesn't go out, trying to drown out the sound of the chaos ensuing around me.Just kidding.Today's post is the second of five, each post representing one 'category' of Christmas List 2009. Christmas List 2009 ~ toddler winner

First, I'd like to mention an Honorable Mention.I mean, just look at it. I'm a mother to 4, soon to be 5, children aged 5 and under. Of course I'd mention this. It's pretty much kid heaven. And it lives inside. Which means there is no bug repellent, no bath time, no snow boots required.I might have chosen this one, if I had even the teeniest, tiniest inkling that I could ever, ever afford it.But, I'm thinkin' NO.Thanks, Concierge Mom for not just this awesome idea, but for putting together such an amazing list of gift ideas. And for making me wish my husband either made … [Read more...]
