the *last day* to Fill Their Stockings

abeauideal

Wah. *sniff* *sniff* Okay, it has been a lot of work. And I admit, I'm ready to take a bit of a bloggy break and just sit on the couch with my kids and eat caramels. But I have loved being a part of this effort. I have loved watching the donations come in, so selflessly, from moms, business owners and adoptive families because they wanted to be a part of helping us Fill Their Stockings. I have loved 'hanging' out with Diana and Lisa - pouring over every detail, trying to do our best for the kids we represent. And I have loved watching y'all rise to the … [Read more...]

Ooooh. Love today's giveaway. My girls don't actually have any Matilda Jane. And I've never been invited to a MJ trunk show. Which, come to think of it, is probably why I don't have any, er... I mean why my girls don't have any Matilda Jane. But I digress. Seriously, does little girl clothing get any cuter than this? This Day 9 Giveaway is for a Matilda Jane $50 Gift Card donated by Matilda Jane Clothing. And a Matilda Jane Tea Cake Top in a (sold out!) size 4 donated by adoptive mama, April. So the winner can pair the Tea Cake top with … [Read more...]

Hope y'all are enjoying your Sunday. And take a moment to reflect on the reason we celebrate. I know I can use a reminder to slow down and settle under the weight of the gift we celebrate at Christmas. Emmanuel. Congratulations to the winners of week three - and what a fantastic week it was. An Orphan's Wish was blessed in a big way, and so was I as I witnessed the outpouring of love for 44 very special children in China. The winner of the Fill Their Stockings Spectacular Surprise, the iPad 2 Giveaway, is Chanda S. The winner of Day 7, the … [Read more...]

And we couldn't make y'all wait. But first, I wanted to say that y'all have blown our collective socks off. And we wanted to share just how far those socks have blown. $5,392 worth. That's how much was brought in to our three charities by the Spectacular Surprise Giveaway, alone. Being a part of this has been the most wonderful kind of blessing, watching the adoption community rally around an effort to care for those left behind. Over the last several days, Lisa, Diana and I have been awestruck at the generous hearts out there. Y'all are … [Read more...]

Is it the end of Week Two already? And I guess that means that we are one week closer to Christmas than we were last week? *wiping spittle from chin* How can that thought fill me with such utter joy and such debilitating anxiety all at the same time? Whoa. That's the first thing I thought when I saw the pictures of this donation. The second thing I thought was how lovely it would look in my house. And the third thing I thought was how my girls would fight like wildcats over whose room it would hang in. Good thing for me I can't enter, I guess. But you can. And someone will win this lovely 20" x 24" oil painting. A much smaller, unframed version is available at China Sprout. This one has been stretched and stapled onto a hardwood frame. And an estimated retail value of $140. And … [Read more...]
