I'm not sure if you can tell. But Poppy had fun at her party. First stop was her favorite restaurant. Chick-Fil-A. I'm not sure if it's her favorites because of the food, or the play area. But really, does it matter? Then back to the house for the rest of the fun. First Poppy got her new pink bike. Then moved on to her smash cake. Instead of smashing it, she just looked at it. Poppy gets. At least for today. Because today is her birthday. But shhhhhh. Don't tell her. The party is set for Friday night. So we have to wait until then to really spoil her. Today we hit the Mart and bought balloons, ice-cream cake supplies, party favors, and pink candles. And pretty much anything Poppy wanted. Which equaled two new sippy cups and a cup of popcorn chicken. If only her wish list would be this short - and total less than $7 - when she's a teenager. This is the daytime crew. They hang with mama during the day. They come with me wherever I go. Everywhere I go. She'll turn two in less than two weeks. And I really want to make it special. We received her referral just a few days before she turned one. And submitted our LOI the day before her first birthday. So there was no time to order her a birthday cake. Or send her presents. I want to make this birthday - her second birthday but possibly her first birthday party and certainly her first party as part of our family - something special. Okay. You probably don't get the title of this Sunday Snapshot. But by the end, you will. Promise. As you can see, Jude was the man today. Because well... he was game. And he didn't need a haircut. And he hadn't spilled anything on his shirt at lunch. Really though, that's just kinda the way Jude rolls. Pretty much game for anything.
