Asher turns 7!

My sweet baby boy turned seven on Saturday. He, even though he is so big for his age, is my most endearing, tender hearted child. He has the kindest spirit…his prayers are the most sincere of all the kids at dinner. The other night he prayed that he and Zach and Dalton would grow up to be good dads and that Sophie and Isabelle would grow up to be good moms. Then, not to be forgotten, he added Tori, that she would do ‘good’ at college. He is so sweet! I hope he always remains as pure hearted and sweet as he is today. For his big day we had all our Georgia family come down to celebrate with us. We had all of Asher’s favorites, cheese dip, Mexican dip, pizza and ice cream cake. We even bought the little glass bottles of Coke that he is always asking for. We ate and then opened presents. Then right onto the birthday cake. He loved having so much family around to help celebrate, it made the day extra special. I was worried that Sophie might have a difficult time with all the chaos, but she loved it! She is finally feeling better after being on a full course of antibiotics. I am feeling better also, just have a nasty lingering cough. I just couldn’t be down for my boy’s big day! The kids enjoyed playing in the sprinkler in the front yard followed by a good ol’ game of SPUD. Of course, no one wanted to be the one to blast the ‘birthday boy’, so Asher ended up being the big winner. It was a perfect ending to the day. Many thanks to those of you who could be here to celebrate with us and also to everyone who sent a card or called to sing “Happy Birthday” to him. You helped make his big day one to remember.
