Goodbye, old friend

We’ve had to bid a good and faithful friend adieu. He has served us well, but it’s just time to let him go.

We’ve finally given up the bottle.

I know, it’s hard to believe. It has always been a wonderful way for us to connect with Isabelle, especially in the beginning when she couldn’t tolerate a lot of close contact. And Sophie decided she wanted to take a bottle because, well, she didn’t want to miss out on anything Isabelle was getting.

I’ve known for a while that we’d need to tell our friend goodbye before long, but it was so hard to finally do it. He’d been such a good friend…

Always there for us when nothing else would do.

Thankfully neither of our girls needed to take a bottle to fall asleep, the bottle was just a good buddy to hang with when they were ready to chill out (which was always several times a day).

Lately the girls have been taking their bottles together, usually snuggled up close watching a video. But I guess there just comes a day when you look at them and realize…it’s time. Well, it was time.

We said goodbye with very little fanfare. I suppose it’s easier that way. My babies are growing up.

Now if I could just get them interested in going on the potty…

WOW!! I just love how you changed the borders on your site along with the colors… looks amazing. I am not that talented with my blog, I can barely post a picture!
