Is it naptime yet?

My kids are killing me. I mean K. I. L. L. I. N. G. me. My boys are out of school this week for ‘fall break’.

That’s a misnomer if I ever heard one.

Isabelle is sick, has been sick for going on 2 weeks. Dalton had strep and an ear infection, but he’s better now. Isabelle didn’t fare so well with her strep, the Amoxil didn’t work so we had to take her back and have her antibiotic changed.

How did we know she was still sick? She wasn’t sleeping. At all. Waking up crying and then insisting that I hold her in order for her to stop screaming.

She is never like this usually, so I really enjoyed all the cuddle time, but after a while I had to stand, rocking with her over my shoulder in order for her to stop screaming. And it got old. Quick. Soon my brain got out of overload long enough for me to pull out my Ergo carrier and that seems to do the trick. Thank you Ergo!

So it’s been a week that she’s been on this new antibiotic and now she’s STILL not sleeping. STILL waking up crying every 20 minutes at night.

So on Monday we took her back in (yeah, they all know us really well at our pediatrician’s office) and find out she’s got a virus now. Oh, and she’s vomiting.

Greeeeeeaaaaattt.

How one child can create so many loads of laundry is beyond me.

Can’t wait for tomorrow!!

Oh, I hear ya. Last week, my whole world was toddler poo. I didn’t think I’d make it. So many loads of laundry with just a couple pieces in it. And soooo nasty. They also have these nasty hacking coughs. Hang in there…next week will be better (repeating that for myself too). :o)

Hang in there!!!!! Vivi just got over RSV (was home on oxygen) and had vomiting and diarrhea on top of that too. I celebrated after two weeks when she slept in her bed again and I actually got to sleep through the night. Aren’t these mommy-times so much fun? 🙂

Oh gosh! I hope Katie isn’t getting sick, she is acting the same way! She just screams and cries in the evening and nothing makes her happy. She won’t eat anything but junk food now too.
    I feel for you.
Try some Febreeze in the laundry. Also Pampers and Luvs soak up liquid squirts better than Huggies in my unvoluntary experiments! Hope she gets better soon. Also Isomil DF usually stops the runs if you are desperate!
    Sorry for the sicknesses!

I was so feeling for you, and still am… but then I burst out laughing when I read “oh and she has some crankin’ diarrhea. Greeeaaaaaat.” I can just here the “thrill” in your voice. At least you seem to be holding on to your sense of humor! Meanwhile I’m wondering how I’ll manage all this as a single mom! I guess my 2 weeks of vacation will be my baby’s sick days!
So be it… I’m ready! Hope you all get some sleep VERY soon and that Belle is on the upswing.
