A $10 afternoon

On Friday both Asher and Dalton stayed home because of a yucky tummy bug that was going around school.

Thankfully neither of them felt badly so we decided to go to a local indoor play place that I hadn’t been courageous enough to brave. But a friend told me about the great deal they have on Thursday and Friday: buy a large pizza for $7 and up to 4 kids get to play free. We were in.

Well, the pizza was great and the kids had an awesome time. $3 for a pitcher of Sprite and we were good to go for the afternoon. It was like a huge McDonald’s with a giant bouncy house and bouncy slide. They all loved the bouncy house, but Belle was afraid of the bouncy slide. She wanted so badly to climb up to the slide, but would get halfway there and freeze.

Since adults weren’t allowed up there, the boys were trying to help get her up, to no avail. Finally she decided to move onto the ball pit area. The kids loved pitching balls at each other which I wouldn’t normally allow, but we were the only people in the place.

We played for close to 2 hours but Isabelle started to melt down as she often does when she’s gone past her normal nap time. But I reassured the boys we’d be back soon.

It was the best $10 I’ve spent in a long time.
