Sophie…one year later

Today was the one year anniversary of Sophie’s adoption day. Boy, have things changed since that day!! She is such a happy girl, but she was so sad on that day, one year ago. In honor of her special day, we spent the day trying to do things that I know Sophie loves. We spent time outside, hit McDonald’s between Belle’s therapies for some fries, a happy meal toy and a few minutes at the play place, and went out for a celebratory dinner at Moe’s. Sophie got her favorite: “meat”. She can eat her body weight in their steak. Then we headed over to Sonic for an ice cream sundae. Sophie was so excited to get her very own, but she only wanted a few bites before she was off and running.
I am so in love with this little girl! She is such an easy- going and lovable child, she is rarely in a bad mood and always has a hug or a kiss to spare. I can’t believe we never hit a big bump during her transition into our family. Not that there weren’t any tough times, but those had mostly to do with me adjusting to parenting two 2 year olds! Yikes! Things have really settled down, just in time for little brother to come in and mix it up 😉 Can’t wait to begin our second year as Sophie Lu’s adoring momma! We love you so much, Sophie!!
