Went to the beach over the weekend. Since Chris is down in Florida for work, we decided to pay him a visit. Unfortunately all the wildfires had left quite a bit of smoke in the air, but it was still a beautiful day, even without the sun shining.
It was the first trip to the ocean for Sophie and Isabelle, and I felt blessed to witness the excitement on Isabelle’s face when she first saw the ocean. The girl has no fear when it comes to the water.
Unfortunately we had just gotten her tubes put in a few weeks ago and forgot her ear plugs… uh, sorry doc! Of course, you can barely keep her head OUT of the water, but our sweet and sensible Sophie, she only waded in up to her knees 😉
Sophie loved playing in the sand, burying her hands and then furiously trying to shake all the sand off.
Tori ‘chillaxed’ (chilled + relaxed) with her cell in one hand and her iPod in the other.
The boys loved searching for animals and shells and spent the majority of the afternoon hunched over, looking for the perfect find.
The ocean was clear enough to see the bottom and they all screamed like little girls when they saw a huge crab shuffling along the ocean floor. I love days like this. No laundry, no cleaning, no worries. It was a good day.
