We drove up to a fall festival today that was held where Isabelle receives her hippotherapy. Actually, we had to go, since Isabelle’s therapist had mentioned to Sophie earlier in the week that they would be offering pony rides. Sophie talked about riding that dang pony all week long. She could not wait to get going… she was running around the house, shoes on, teeth brushed, hair clip in place, doing her darnedest to hustle everyone else out of the house. The day was perfect and soon we were out in the beautiful countryside, ready to cowboy up. First stop was horse painting, the lucky recipient being an extremely docile (and old) horse named ‘Babydoll’. The horse deserved a medal for what she must have had to put up with today. Kids everywhere, painting, stamping and running around on a sugar-induced high. Finally Sophie’s big moment came. She got first horsie pick and chose to ride ‘Lucky’ while Isabelle rode her regular mount, ‘Hogie’. Pretty darned cute. Even Dalton and Asher decided to go for a spin, with Asher on little Hogie, by choice π Jude decided to wait until next year for his first ride. He likes to pet the horses, but that’s close enough, thank you very much. For now he’ll stick to trying to ride the dog.

What a fantastic way to spend the day! I LOVE the pics, especially that one of Dad and Jude snuggling :O)
Great pics. Pony rides are always a blast. π
What a fun day! Thanks for sharing all the great pictures. I love the one of Jude on the fence — very cute.
What a great day!! Love the photos of Jude – his facial expressions are so precious!! He looks like he’s not so sure what to make of it all! I bet next year he’s leading the pack!
CUTE! CUTE! CUTE…as usual! π
BEAUTIFUL PICTURES!!! A sunny day and smiling faces… Your heart must be very full….
What a great place to take the whole family! How cute to hear that Sophie was playing “ringleader” that morning!
Oh I love the horsey pictures…my six year old would have a FIT to ride on one!
Looks like yall had a GREAT fall family day!
By the way, I LOVE the picture of all SEVEN of your children at the top of your blog…do you ever just look at that picture and think “WOW, I can’t believe all these children are MINE!” They are all so beautiful! Watch Cheaper by the Dozen again if you haven’t seen it in a while…it makes me so happy to have a big family! π
Your fall outing looked like so much fun. Thanks for sharing! The kids are adorable of course. You look completely too young for a daughter in college yourself!!
