The quilts!!

The 100 Good Wishes quilts are DONE! Actually, they’ve been done for a month or so, but it’s taken me this long to get pictures taken and up on the blog. They look wonderful! All the collecting and cutting and well, that’s about all I did. I had the quilts made by the MIL of a great friend of mine. She did a fantastic job and I am SO happy to have them for my sweet babies ๐Ÿ™‚ Sophie absolutely LOVES hers, as I am sure you can tell from the pictures ๐Ÿ™‚ In fact, she was sure to tell Isabelle that “YOU didn’t have one… but I do!” Actually, Isabelle does have one, but it’s put up (far, far up) so Isabelle doesn’t ruin it before she understands the importance of it.
Jude isn’t quite grasping all the work that went into his yet either, but I know he will. I have managed to organize the wishes into a small photo album for each of the kids, so if you gave me a square, but haven’t written out your wish yet, now is your chance to do it!
A huge “THANK YOU” to everyone who took the time to pick out a special square for each of these beautiful quilts. I am so thrilled to have such a loving reminder of all of those who are wishing our children well from near and far. And thank YOU, Sandy, for doing an amazing job!
If you are interested in having Sandy make a quilt for you, let me know and I’ll pass your info onto her. She was able to make my quilts in less than a month after I sent her the squares, the backing and the batting. I have used Karri in the past, but I don’t think she’s making quilts anymore, or so I’ve heard. So here’s an unashamed plug for Sandy! She does great work (I’m even happier with these than I was with the one Karri did) and her pricing is very comparable to Karri’s if not a bit cheaper… always a plus when one is draining their savings on an adoption, right? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Oh man. I mean, damn they are beautiful, but I thought I had time on Jude’s… darn it, and I ordered that fabric for him alone. My bad, I’m so horrible about that kind of stuff!! Glad I was able to contribute to Sophie’s though ๐Ÿ™‚

    They look amazing!!!

The quilts are beautiful! It makes me so anxious to get our daughter’s quilt from my friend who is making it. These are going to be wonderful keepsakes for our children.

What beautiful quilts! Thank you for sharing the pictures. I am lucky enough that I have a next door neighbor that does quilts, she made a beautiful quilt for Alenna. I will have to put a picture of it on my blog soon. Christy

Oh gorgeous! I mean the quilts AND the children!
I took a picture of Quan tonight and he had this HUGE grin where his eyes were almost shut…I swear he reminded me of Jude! Isn’t that funny?
So glad to see the post below about Joey!

wow these are so pretty…she did a fantastic job. I’m about 1/2 done with my fabric collecting, but I would love to check out the lady who did your quilts. I will be needing someone when I get all of the squares. Thanks.

    Hi Annette!
Her name is Sandy and her email is pnowlin@hotmail.com
She has been making quilts a long time, but has just started making 100 GW quilts. I think ours were her first! If you decide to have her make your quilt, be sure to let me know how it turns out ๐Ÿ™‚
