A thought

If we are obsessed by God, nothing else can get into our lives- not concerns, nor tribulation, nor worries. And now we understand why our Lord so emphasized the sin of worrying. How can we dare to be so absolutely unbelieving when God totally surrounds us? To be obsessed by God is to have an effective barricade against all the assaults of the enemy.

Oh I love Oswald Chambers. The Utmost for His Highest is one of my favorite books. My Mother has a tear stained copy and has been one of hers as well down through the years. Thanks for posting this.

Stef – how do you do that??? Just when I need it, you speak to my heart. I’m having yet another round of troubles with the in-laws and it hurts my heart so badly and there you go, my worried, troubled heart you appeased with “a thought”.

    Thank you.

I’ll go pray about it, which is, I think what I was doing when I started worrying!:)

    Hugs,
    Heather

surrender is such an amazing thing! We were discussing in our Bible Study last night that while MANY people ascent that God is “Big” enough (i.e. – He created the world), very few people believe that He is actually “small” enough (i.e. knows the # of hairs on our head) Lord, please help me to believe that you not only know how many hairs are on my head – you care about them too!!

I love this quote! I saw a bumper sticker today that I think sums this up… Let Go, Let God. A simple four word message, yet so powerful to those who do it.
