Does anyone else have a husband that loves this show? Honestly, I can just listen to the things this crazed survivalist says (tonight he was skinning a snake and referred to it as “peeling a sausage” and later advised only drinking one’s own urine “as a last resort”) and it makes me feel like my dinner is on it’s way back up… barf!
Is this how nauseous my husband feels when I insist on watching HGTV?
Naenay1012 says
My honey loves this show too. My 9 year old is on the way to liking it.
Colleen says
LOL I have never heard of this show but I think I may skip it! My dh is a big sports nut so football and baseball is on all the time…

Ummm… Stefanie? That picture? It. Is. Disturbing.
Table for Six says
Yep, bob loves this show.. my 8 year said she was going to be w*man vs. wild when she grew up.. niiicee.
yikes.
Bobbi Jo says
Oof. That picture is just waaayyyyy too gross for words. Glad we haven’t discovered that show around here!!
Keri says
Thankfully I haven’t heard of that one. Any show that has snakes in it is banned in out home! I am terrified of them!!! I just can’t imagine myself in a scenario where drinking urine would even be in consideration. I stick closer to civilization than that!
Scott and Sharon Ankerich says
That is just plain gross- I thought the Dirty Jobs show was too much :). My husband watches mostly sports too! Thank goodness- have a great Thurs!!!
Sherri says
You crack me up!
My 17 year old son LOVES this show….and Dirty Jobs……and Survivor Man .
One time he boiled goat’s eyes and ate them. Yuk.

Well Stefanie I must say that I do enjoy the show just a little bit. Hubby too! I did see that episode when he poured pee pee on a shirt and covered his head with it to prevent himself from dehydrating in the desert. Hmmm. But I watch just to see where he gets lost. But please don’t think I’d ever eat a zebra! Yikes.

ummm……gross! With you on the whole nauseous thing. Whew. Never heard of this show. Can’t say that I am sad about that.
Kim says
Grossss! I have never heard of this show before and I am glad. Ick! Although I am keen on survivalism, I think that would be a bit much for me.
Mom To Six says
Ok! Ok! I confess. I LOVE these shows, too. Sick, huh? Sometimes my sweetie and I sit on the couch and watch Survivor Man while eating dinner. I just can’t handle roaches. EWWWW!
Hugs,
Ohilda

My hubs loves this show. On the up side, I now know how to purify drinking water if I’m ever stranded in a swamp.
Denise says
It is my 11 year old that loves this also…yuck!!!
Sue says
Ohh we had to watch that last night too. His bee stung face and drinking pee pee from a snake skin was way too much. I looked at my DH and said “Do we have to watch this” He said he’s almost done drinking. hahah UCK!
Amie@HeartSmiles says
I’m thinkin he must be married and not still in the market, cuuse that is not a photo you want on myspace if your lookin’.
I wouldn’t be mad at you if you took that pic down… uck!
I think I will pass on this show.

That is the most horrific photo I have ever seen. NO my hubby does not watch this show… thank God in heaven… we watch Dirty Jobs once in awhile but that is as “yuck” as we get!!!
Emy says
We, meaning me (but my husband and son also have to), “pretend” that everything on that show is FAKE. I just always say several times during the show, or even the commercial, “That is so totally fake.” And, I have convinced myself of this. Otherwise I think I would vomit or have nightmares.
You should try it. ๐
Laura L. says
I have watched this show a few times and I have to admit I find it interesting.
This man eating a zebra thing is a bit much for me though.
Haven’t seen the show for a few months. Maybe it’s gone over the edge a bit. LOL
Walker says
LOL! Hey Stephanie… I guess I’m THE only FEMALE that will comment that I… *ahem* ..watch it “with” my hubby! lol!
WE love it!
..Did you know that if you get “finned” by a catfish you can “tee-tee” on it, to take the sting away…
“good to know.. huh?”
However, I won’t be doing that.. Unless I’m in survival mode.
Your kiddos are growing up! Precious!
Chrissie says
OH dear heavens, that man is c.r.a.z.y. I saw that snake-squeezing episode and just about yacked.
I’m hoping he gets some really great kick-backs for that show, because honestly, it doesn’t appear that any amount of money is worth drinking snake pee!
Kay Bratt says
No, my husband is stuck on Fox News and some fishing show that is reality of Alaskan fishermen (maybe titled something to do with “Catch”?)
I have to admit, when he promises me a foot rub, I can tolerate his show much more!
Kay
The Vinyards says
My husband LOVES that show also. My 9 year old son really “enjoys” watching it also. I think it is really gross!
Mommy says
Ugh! Between THIS show and Dead*iest Catch I’m in man show pergatory. I think you are right. This must be how he feels when I watch my 999th episode of House Hunters. ๐
