Yesterday I was in a funk. Tired and crabby. Since it was a beautiful day, I decided to get out and enjoy God’s creation (and get some much needed weeding in, too). So while the boys napped, Sophie and I headed out back with our brown bags. Sophie is always happy to go outside and she even seemed excited to help with the weeding. We found some beautiful plants growing in our neglected flowerbeds, I just love to see the beautiful flowers and plants that bloom for His eyes only ๐
We filled our two bags and barely made a dent on all the weeds that have accumulated, but the time outside with my sweet girl sure lifted my spirits!
P.S. While Sophie and I played and weeded, Isabelle was walking around with her innertube around her belly, expressing her displeasure because she she wanted to swim ๐

that sophie is a beauty…should have posted a pic of innertube isabelle!
I have been trying to get that plant to grow here in KY since we came back from China with Gracie. If I am not mistaken, that is the Chinese lantern and should have orange and yellow lanterns on it, as well as the green. How perfect…and you did not even plant it! Great pictures! Rachelle in KY
Too fun! What beautiful pictures!!
I love days like that!!

I just love how sometimes the very thing we don’t really want to do, turns out to be the very thing we needed. Even with a mischievious one prancing around with an innertube declaring that she wants to swim!! ๐
I pulled weeds yesterday too! uggh! We have gigantic tumbleweeds!!! I think they must have babies or something!!!
what beautiful pics of your little helper! now where’s isabelle?? bet she looked adorable walking around with her “tube” on!
She still harping on swimming ever since the garage project??? Isabelle doesn’t forget easily does she!! ๐
Very sweet pictures of your beautiful Sophie, and the flowerbeds!
xoxo
My girls love to weed too! I have no idea why. But given the choice of going swimming or weeding, they chose weeding. ๐
Sophie looks so grown up…it seems like all the kids have grown by leeps and bounds this summer…
What a beautiuful little helper!!
That one doesn’t look like a weed – its a tomatillo! Save for salsa.
Isabelle is so beautiful. I love all the pictures you posted. I wanted to tell you I was in Marshall’s today and bought the cutest wall hanging with Ella’s name on it. I saw one with Isabelle’s and Sophie’s names on them :). Don’t know if you would want one, but they are adorable!!! I will put it on my blog tomorrow so you can see it.
Blessings,
Sharon
Fun! You have Chinese lanterns! Ours are already orange and I bet yours will turn soon. We’ve had to cut ours back because they spread, spread, spread!
Glad you enjoyed your day with your adorable helper!
How beautiful are you?
Thank you so much for stopping by and for your sweet comments! Your family is just gorgeous! I am so happy to “meet” you! I will be back to visit soon and look forward to learning all about your beautiful little ones.
