Rachel’s long journey home

When sharing my sister’s story, I shared about my friend, Kathy, who was so instrumental in helping unite this little boy, halfway around the world, with his forever family. It was in finding her own daughter, Rachel, that she ‘found’ Cole. Her journey to Rachel has been anything but easy and along the way, their family has suffered more than most families do in a lifetime. Many of you probably remember praying for their son, Andrew, as he came frighteningly close to losing his life in a car accident this spring.
They recently received their TA for Rachel, but do not have the funds to bring her home yet. Please go visit their blog, and consider donating money or an item to add to their auction. We donated Jude’s Going Home Barbie, since, well, I doubt he’ll miss it 😉 And it’s going to a wonderful cause! So dig in your pockets, under your couch cushions. Search your attic or your kids’ closets and see if you have something to give… it’ll put a smile on your heart 🙂

Kathy is a blogger friend of mine -so glad you put a plug in for her! I have tears in my eyes, how God can use the internet (blogs) to link people together who share His heart for the orphans – so very cool!! Yipppee Jesus!

Stefanie…thank you so much for helping Kathy! She truly has had more than her share of trials this year. Praying that all God’s children will find their way to their families arms!
    Hugs from St. Louis!

Stef, I think YOU are the one who introduced me to Kathy b/c of our “to-be” children. She is a good friend now and I am so thrilled you put in a plug for her.
    You Rock!!
I put a plug on my site for your sister and Kathy the other day and am thrilled how the red thread of God flows through our hearts b/c of our children. just awesome.
