Thank YOU

First of all I want to thank everyone who took the time to share about your little one(s) with me! You were a huge help. And if you are anything like me, you are wondering why the heck I need all this information. So, I’m am extremely happy to announce, you will not have to wait much longer!

A hint is that this is the same ‘thing’ I was referring to when I wrote this post. I know, it was way back in May and yes, clearly I do work slowly. But I did bring a baby home from China and move halfway across the country in the meantime. At least that’s how I justify my turtle-like pace to myself.

I am so grateful to everyone who has participated in my little project so far and I can’t wait to let you guys in on exactly WHAT ‘it’ is. Rebecca has worked tirelessly to make my tiny spark of an idea into a beautiful reality. So that’s why it’s been quiet around here, I’ve actually been working on something other than my blog. And raising kids. And yes, the consequences have been ugly. But oh so worth it. And hopefully, by the end of the weekend, you’ll be able to share in Rebecca’s and my excitement over our combined efforts.

One more hint is this beautiful poem by St. Theresa of Avila:

Lord Christ,
You have no body on earth but ours,
No hands but ours,
No feet but ours.
Ours are the eyes through which your compassion
Must look out on the world.
Ours are the feet by which you may still
Go about doing good.
Ours are the hands with which
You bless people now.
Bless our minds and bodies,
That we may be a blessing to others.

Anyone want to hazard a guess??

special needs advocate? starting your own agency? or your own organization to bring SN children and families together? or a SN site that has all the info you could ever need? no matter what it is, you are great!

    Stefanie,

I was going to post to the TCH yahoo board with your requests for info. If it is not too late, can I do that?

Uuuuuuuuuhhhh…let’s see….TLC found you because the Georgia news crew told Oprah and Oprah told TLC all about you and NOW you are going to be in your own tv show like Jon and Kate Plus 8 but it will be you and your family and advocating for special needs kids? Am I close? Am I? And when you get an Emmy, can I come to the awards ceremony with you and stalk people I read about in People magazine? ๐Ÿ™‚

Knowing you & your BIG heart, I would guess that you will have your own agency that advocates for SN children…to make sure they get all the love & care they need. Am I close??

I know whatever it is, it will be WONDERFUL & MEANINGFUL to the lives of children!

    You are an INSPIRATION!!!

Well, knowing you whatever it is will be incredible. My guess is something having to do with the amazing club foot treatment your own boys have gone through.

Perhaps in conjunction w/ the Dr’s that treated your sons?

Your heart is made of gold,, and you know how much gold has increased in value of late.. It is indeed precious.

Blessings ahead to whatever the venture is going to be!!

Hmnnnn I say you are starting your own grant to help other families with SN’s? I do like the idea of a TV show….: ) or maybe you are adding one more to your family?

I hate suspense…..when do we get to know

I think you are creating a website that houses information regarding special needs…specifially, those of the children we all hold so dearly in our hearts — children, like ours, who are being (or have been) adopted from China.

I’m guessing you are going to try to connect families “in need of information” together with families who have “been there” via the new website you are creating!

Am I right?? Huh, huh? Am I right?? ๐Ÿ™‚
