finally

Finally. A moment to sit down and catch my breath. It’s been an insane two weeks. Insane in a really, really good way.

First off was my incredible trip to Pioneer Woman’s house. Y’all might not feel like walking down memory lane with me again, but I do. Man, just thinking of it takes me to a happy place. It was one heckuva good time. And then, like a cherry on the top, she gave us a shout out on her blog (on her blog, y’all) for not only this blog, but my newest baby: wild Olive.

Not gonna lie, for a brand spankin’ new business, there is nothing like a shout out from Pioneer Woman to get business hopping. At one point the bandwidth of our site was overloaded. Then, get this, Bakerella gave us some props on her slice- o- baking- heaven blog. Craziness. Gotta love some ladies who can not only cook like nobody’s business, but who can give a shout out to the little people, knowwhatimsayin’???

Soooo I’ve spent a good chunk o’ time working on wild Olive. Happily working on it. Incredibly, after less than two weeks of being ‘live’, we’ve sold out of most of our tees. And thankfully, we’ve got tons more set to arrive in the next week. Whew!

Then came spring break. Wow. Lots of kids ’round here. All having a different plan for ‘fun’. Made for a challenge for this mom who normally likes her down time in the afternoon. Not much of that has been happenin’ lately. But it was a great week, and I can say that in all honesty, now that the week is over. We made a few trips to the park, spent one beautiful day at the zoo and had one fun afternoon of bowling. We watched 2 movies, which I believe is a personal record for me in one weekend, and the boys played football several times in our local high school stadium. All good stuff for my kiddos who crave time outdoors, footloose and fancy free.

I am looking forward to this week, though. A bit more of a controlled environment, at least between 8 and 3. I am a creature of habit and honestly kinda lose mental perspective when too many little feet are circling for too many days in a row. So expect to hear a bit more from me in the coming days, like it or not. I’ve got some things I want to talk about and a few tidbits of news on the paperchase for our sweet Vivi.

So excited for you to be WILDLY successful after the promotion from PW! She came by my site last month and commented on an article I wrote, “Cinderella Is Overrated” (currently in my Ultimate Party Blog post.) THAT felt huge to ME. I can’t imagine what YOU all must be going through. God sends his blessings at just the right time. Congratulations on getting to share the joy and the WORD!!!

I found your blog via Ree’s site as many others probably did as well… I love to come and check up whenever my own brood of four give me a free moment of internet time!
