Tomorrow morning we take Shep in for a check up. The little man is just not gaining weight. He eats well, has a great appetite for fatty foods, but is just not. gaining. weight. He’s been home for 9 months, we feed him all the time and he’s gained less than 2 pounds. And he was already tiny when we brought him home. Honestly, all our other kiddos have come home and truly thrived, at least physically, right off the bat. So this is new territory for us.
I also want to discuss with our doc the potential for further testing based upon Shepherd’s international adoptee status, but, as usual, I’ve completely forgotten where all those wonderful links are now that I need them…
Anyone? I’d love a link to a comprehensive site for new parents of China adoptees, sort of a one- stop- shopping list of necessary and optional recommended testing. You’d think I’d have this memorized by now, but alas, I do not.
Thank you 🙂
P.S. Meant to write a juicy post today. About what I wasn’t sure, but I was hopeful. But it is a Monday, which is almost always the kiss of death for any extraneous activity on my part. Have I mentioned I really don’t like Mondays??
