quick trip

I’m back! Figuratively and literally… we just got home last night from a quick trip to Iowa City. It was recheck time for Jude and Shepherd at University of Iowa, and even though it is 3 pit stops, 4 videos, painful, an 8 hour drive, it is always worth the effort to get there.

In fact, the kids really surprised us this time and the candy bribes and video offerings I brought along seemed adequate to soothe the savage beasts. There was barely an argument or tear shed the entire trip.

The word on the boys’ feet: perfect! We are forever grateful to Dr. Morcuende and his crew at University of Iowa for all they do and have done for our boys. They are incredibly dedicated and care so much about each child they treat, it feels like hanging out with family every time we visit.

We had a great time chillin’ at the hotel pool, too! I’ve posted some pics on the photoblog ๐Ÿ™‚

    Stef,

Those boys are just too adorable! My goodness you're in trouble in about 15 years!!!!

I don't know if Amie told you over at Wild Olive Trees that they donated to my fundraiser and I just wanted to tell you too how grateful we are!!! THANK YOU!!!

    Hugs and love,
    Amy

Wow. Iowa would be quite a bit of a drive from my neck of the woods…so happy you were able to drive it…albeit a long drive…and with happy kids!
Even happier to hear the great news about their feet!
Any news on little miss Vivi??

YEAH! Glad all was good!! and that everyone survived! And I checked out the pool pics. The one of dady with the gang… adorable! And I have decided when I come there, we are devoting a whole day to you teaching me how to use my camera. Das right. I decided. word. Don't worry. I will read the manuel and figure out how to turn it on before I get there. I'm an over achiever like that! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Okay, I'm a total sap. I just completely teared up at the pic of Dr. and boys. Totally.

And I am sheepishly admitting that I still get little butterfly in my tummy when I see your icon come up in my comment box. I'm such a geek, but you are my blogging/adoption celebrity crush. I'm strange, I accept that.

Thanks for stopping by ๐Ÿ™‚ You made my day.

Stefanie!! We go To the University of Iowa also!!
Quite FREQUENTLY! They have a FABULOUS Pediatric Strabismus Facility! Dr Olson ROCKS!! After 2 surgeries for Shaylee & 1 for Selah we TOO have the "PERFECT" prognosis!!

Our drive however is ONLY three+ hours!!

I'm wondering at which hotel you stayed… we probably have "BEEN THERE" !!!

Thank you for letting us "follow along" !!!

    Hugs from Bloomington,IL!!!

Love the photo of Dr. M and the boys! So cute!! I'm glad their feet are doing great! Way to go! ๐Ÿ™‚ I'm trying to figure out when we'll go back for K's next check up. Maybe for the symposium in October, though it's hard then because school is in session.
Congrats on your DTC also! Woo Hoo!
