I *heart* Oswald

“There is only one relationship that really matters, and that is your personal relationship to your personal Redeemer and Lord. If you maintain that at all costs, letting everything else go, God will fulfill His purpose through your life. One individual life may be of priceless value to God’s purposes, and yours may be that life.”

~ Oswald Chambers

    Amen!!

Beth Moore said, "People don't care about your relationship with Jesus Christ, they care about your resemblance to Him."

This is so true. I have always thought (in my few short years as a Christian) that as long as the World knew I had a RELATIONSHIP with HIM that that kind of "covered" me, as His grace does. Thing is – The "World" doesn't "get" the relationship with Christ – they don't understand it – what they DO understand is when you look like Him….

So while I am growing in my relationship WITH Him, I pray I RESEMBLE Him more and more every day!

    Hugs!

I also "heart" Oswald and one of my favorite quotes by him is this:

"you do not know when HIS voice will come to you, but whenever the realization of God comes, even in the faintest way imaginable, be determined to recklessly abandon yourself, surrendering everything to Him. It is only through abandonment of yourself and your circumstances that you will recognize Him."

I think this sums up the call of adoption, at least for us. In abandoning ourselves and our circumstances, God is able to do immeasurably more than we could ever imagine!

    Thanks for your ministry, Stefanie!
