Happy Sophie Day

We celebrated the night before I left for China, since Tori was still home.

And because I figured I wouldn’t be in the best shape to put together a birthday party, barely home from China.

Sophie didn’t seem to mind celebrating a few days early.

We went out to eat at a local lobster house. Sophie preferred to eat a hot dog and macaroni and cheese, and just look at the lobsters in the tanks. Isabelle got a bit adventurous and ate ‘fish and chips’, but other than that, no additional seafood eaters in our kiddie crew.

Chris ate enough seafood for all of us.

Then we went back to the house for Sophie’s pick of a strawberry Hello Kitty cake (her cake request was “Hello Kitty and her sister”), created by her beloved big sis, Tori. Accompanied by pink Hello Kitty plates and strawberry ice cream. You might be detecting a theme here. And you’d be right.

Our girl loves her some Hello Kitty. And all things pink.

Sophie opened her gifts, all the while smiling ear to ear. Pixos, books, a Hello Kitty lunchbox, the Tinkerbell Movie and play dishes made for one happy girl.

We love you Sophie Lulu!! Asher, Vivi and I wish we could be with you on your big day, Miss Six Years Old!!

Hugs and kisses all the way from China… we’ll be home soon 🙂

Loved your posts from your trip to sweet little Vivi.

Alaina turned 7 yesterday, so she is exactly one year older than Sophie!

What an amazing story – the family that adopted the 2 12 year old boys! If they have a blog, I'd love to check it out! Lucy
