Vivi in bloom

After the group shot session, Asher and I returned to the red couch for a few more shots. The lighting is so lovely in the White Swan with the ceiling high windows and I couldn’t resist trying to get just a few more shots of Miss Vivi while she was in her traditional Chinese outfit.

After all, the red couch photo is the epitome of the whole China adoption trip. And I wanted to give my girl another shot at looking her loveliest. I know she’ll thank me someday.

Yeah, right.

Unfortunately, Vivi really wasn’t interested in having her picture taken to begin with, and even less interested after 30 minutes of our group picture session. But Asher and I did our best to get, if not a big grin, at least a content expression out of our girl.

I have to say, even without a smile, she takes my breath away.

Stefanie, I've thought from your first pictures of her, that I don't think I've seen a child who looks so beautiful even if she is not smiling. WOW! Thanks for "taking us" with you! It was super fun!

What a beautiful addition to a already beautiful family!! I've enjoyed waking up to rush to the computer to check for your updates. I joked with my husband as we're packing to leave in 6 days for our first China adoption, that I bet all you and Asher took were backpacks because you had it down to a science!!! Welcome Home!

    Blessings, Stacy

Wonderful pictures! Yes, she will love to talk about them as she grows up, keep one handy in some of her favorite books.
AA loves to hear over and over how she was a "good girl" while waiting in China for her Mommy and Daddy. You will love to see the joy in her face when Vivi can look back and see these baby pictures.
(You are so lucky, AA wouldn't stop crying or let go of me during the red couch photos).

She takes everyone's breath away!! 🙂 Hope your homecoming was super exciting (once you hit ground) and uneventful (in the air!) all at the same time!

Lifting prayers and thanking God for your precious children, they are all sweet reminders of God's tender promises!!

    Love to you all,
