fitting in

Today marks four weeks since we came home from China with Vivi in our arms.

And it’s been a pretty crazy four weeks.

Life is definitely different with the addition of this little one.

We can’t fit all the littles into the tub anymore.

We can’t fit into our car anymore.

We can’t all fit around our kitchen table anymore.

And Chris and I can barely fit into our bed anymore.

She sleeps right smack in the middle of our king-size bed.

Sideways.

But even though we’re squished in the tub, driving two cars, with extra mismatched chairs at the table and falling off the sides of our big ol’ bed…

In our family, Vivi somehow just fits. Just right.

I am CERTAIN that the makers of the Dodge Sprinter would see YOUR cause MORE worthy than even the precious Jon & Kate PLUS Eight's!! I say you need to write a letter – or better yet- VISIT them in person with the clan!!!

I love how God delights in showing us exactly what "right" is & how it may very well look different than the world thinks it should – and sometimes, even what WE think it should…….

Such a sweet girl! So, here's a logistical question for you. How do you go somewhere when you're on your own with the kids? I'm trying to figure out how we can keep adopting now that our minivan is full!

WONDERFUL photos Stefanie…I am so glad you posted this…we have been "thinking" and "thinking" about IF we should add just ONE more to our family. Or are we just nuts? I have to laugh as I have thought of the fact that we have NO VEHICLE to transport all of us but you just PUT ME IN MY PLACE…as we do have TWO vehicles and that would suffice!

So happy for your family and Vivi!

You've managed to speak straight to my heart about just how perfect a "different" life can be once you get your new little one home! I've been wondering how the adjustments will work as our humble abode becomes home to a larger family, and you've done a great job of reassuring me! Thanks!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

awww…that is so sweet! ๐Ÿ™‚ I totally relate to driving two cars everywhere and not fitting at the table. I'm just not nice enough to let kids into my bed 'cause I get grumpy from lack of sleep. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hi Stefanie,
Now you have me wondering when you said I look familiar.
My children were not 4-Her's, but my oldest was in the band.
We're in southeast GA, too, Blackshear…where are you?
