a beautiful sight

No. Not the bed.

Or even Vivi.

Although, she is beautiful.

Especially when she’s asleep.

The beautiful sight is these two together:

Vivi.

In her bed.

After being ribbed with her braces and headbutted for the umpteenth time, lo these two months since Vivi’s been home, Chris and I decided to have a go at the inevitable.

To move her out of our large-but-clearly-not-large-enough king sized bed.

And into her toddler bed (currently stationed about 6 feet from our bed).

And since we’ve made the big switch two nights ago, she’s done surprisingly well.

Even waking less in the night than when she was sleeping sandwiched between us.

By the smile, it would appear she’s diggin’ her own space.

Hmmmm. Now I’m wondering if all those rib kicks and headbutts weren’t executed on purpose.

Y'all are doing great! We weren't able to get EK out of our bed for about a year. Although I really didn't try that hard. She transitioned very well too. Vivi looks so rested and happy. I'd say she is digging it too!!!
    Blessings!

Very sweet pictures for sure. You know, we have one son who bangs his head a lot at night. It can get annoying…

6ft away is a nice distance. Bless your heart. I cannot sleep with additional little people in my bed. And I LOVE the little cherry bed. Love it! She's way too cute!!

Haha my favorite part of this is her bedhead! Looks exactly like my brother's hair when he wakes up.

Good for Vivi!! Em always sleeps better in her bed. Even when she gets in our bed at night, she will eventually ask to go back to her bed!

I wish I looked that fabulous when I first wake up!! LOL!!

Celebrating with you! We did the happy dance last Wednesday night when our darling emphatically pointed to her section of the trundle bed in her sister's room, even though a tiny bit of me was sad to not be sharing our bed with her anymore. And it was a tiny bit as we only have a queen…
Glad that you will be avoiding the headbutts for a while!

Head butts and rib kicks on purpose? Prolly not – but I'm SURE they were most necessary for her…they really were! But yeah – we can dig it! Vivi – way to go kid – keep up the good work!

    hugs – aus and co.
