olivia

Meet Olivia.

She’s five years old.

And has one week left to find her forever family.

And she is just. too. cute. Clearly.

Olivia is listed with Lifeline Children’s Services. An agency I can personally recommend. Highly.

They helped us bring home Sophie and Shepherd. And we love them, a lot.

Olivia’s special needs are orthopedic issues that affect her arms and her legs.

An pediatric orthopedist very recently reviewed her file and had this to say:

“This girl will be very functional with her upper extremities. It is surprising how well kids with this condition will adapt to the point of even playing musical instruments. There is a well known newscaster in Los Angeles named Bree Walker who has a similar condition and has led a very productive life.

Her leg length discrepancy will worsen as she gets older and she will benefit from surgical treatment of this. She will likely need leg lengthening on her left leg. In the meantime the shoe lift is a good temporizing measure.”

Might she be your daughter?

On their site, it says she is "on hold." Hope that is true! Oh I wish we could bring home another angel.

Olivia is adorable ! I think she looks just like our Maggie and my heart breaks that she still needs a family. We will be praying that she finds a family fast.

Oh she is just so precious. My eyes well with tears looking at her….and longing to bring her home…but that husband of mine is 55. Other countries that allow 55+ are our only options at the moment, and trust me sweet friend….it is a regular struggle for me if I dwell on that…

I'm sorry, I'm sure this is an ignorant question but what happens to her in a week? Praying for this obviously sweet little one.

In a week her file will have to be returned to China. Lifeline only has until the 19th to keep her file. After that, it's up to the C2A2, she might or might not get another chance at a family…

Seeing the above comments gives me hope that this precious little girl has found a family. We will certainly pray for a family who can move quickly to adopt her.

I love your blog–few convey their hearts through their words and photos like you do. Love yesterday's post about Isabelle. It's just amazing what God has done in your sweet family in just five years. It humbles and inspires me.

Please update us on Olivia if you hear anything.

    God Bless,
    Kathie

Why do adoption agencies put a time limit on waiting for a forever family? I see other kids get adopted at teenage and she is so young. Why does she have to be taken off the list so soon?

It breaks my heart. I hope she finds her forever family soon!
