Vivi: naming names

Vivi is slowly but surely beginning to call everyone by name around here.

She even likes to shout out the name of the owner of each piece of clothing as we fold the laundry.

And she’s gets a larger percentage correct than her big brothers. And occasionally, her dad.

She loves to look at all the pictures on the refrigerator and on this day, she’d pulled down our Christmas card picture. And was naming everyone in our family, one by one.

Until she saw I had pulled out the video camera.

Then she got a bit shy and needed a little prompting. But still so cute…

Oh my goodness. I love her sweet little voice. One of my favorite items I have is a tape recording of me singing the Sesame Street song…I was about 2.5 and I have a VERY strong Southern Accent. At the end of the singing, I say my name and my dogs name. It just cracks me up everytime I pull it out and listen

What a cutie! My Taylor loves to name everything as she pulls it out of the dryer: Daddy's shirt, Gege's pants, Mommy's sock. She is such a good little helper.

She is now into telling everyone the things that are hers: MY cup, MY doll, MY henquin (penguin). It is usually in a mean voice though-we need to work on that. It must be so nice for them to have things that are all theirs-they don't have to share them with everyone else in the orphanage.
