black and white

Y’all probably know by now that I love color.

Lots and lots of color.

So the vast majority of my pictures stay that way: colorful.

But Tori was playing around in Lightroom with these pictures from the other day.

And she found the perfect preset: Licorice.

Not perfect just because of the way it changed the images, but because it somehow sums up these two as brother and sister.

Black and white.

She’s reserved. Slow to warm up. Keeps her heart guarded.

He’s boisterous. Loves to make people smile. Wears his heart on his sleeve.

She’s patient. Determined. Persevering.

He’s impetuous. Opinionated. Occasionally lazy.

And yet, sibling squabbles aside, they somehow manage to tolerate each other.

Most of the time.

I love black and white. I feel like sometimes it takes away all the unnecessary "extra" stuff…and just leaves what's really there to begin with… the people. And I have to say…YOUR people… are beautiful in color and black and white!

these pics say something really cool – differences aside – we'll be family forever – and that's what it's all about!

All your children are beautiful! Like my Zachary, your Zachary has changed so much in the past year. Would be interested to know if their birthdays are close together. Such a handsome young man. 🙂 And Tori (love, love her name BTW), is so pretty {like her mama}. Love your pictures!!
