Isabelle – first day of grade K

Ahhh, Isabelle. Off she went yesterday, with nary a hesitation.

Even rode the bus to school solo, since Sophie goes all day this year. But on Thursday, she won’t be alone any more.

Dreaded Thursday. When Jude will venture out, for the first time, from under my wing. And step foot onto a big yellow school bus for the first time. Ack.

But back to Isabelle. And her first day. Which was, in her own words…

“AWESOME!”

“Because I got to draw pictures!”

“And I got to eat lunch!”

“And I got to play at the park!”

I think she likes it.

It's kinda cool doing a 'post per kid' first day thing – these two had some great first days too – and that's soo cool to see….even if it involves 'girl kids' as classmates!;)

    hugs – aus and co.

Isn't it funny how we shape our own children's expectations? My youngest also started K this year. I think there would have been NO WAY she would have gone by herself(!) on the bus(!) for the 1st day of school!!!
She is on the bus now, but only because big (3rd grade) sis rides with her.

I love these per kid stories…..=)

I can't believe how much these pictures of Isabelle look like an older version of our 28 month old daughter, Maya! Both are gorgeous!!
