School pictures are today. And as usual, I’m not terribly hopeful that, in one shot, the (heretofore unknown to my children) photographer is going to be able to capture my kiddos in a way that I want framed in an 8 x 10 lining our living room bookshelves.
But year after year, I fork up the dinero and take my chances. Not like I don’t get enough pictures of my kids on a regular basis.
So, for fun, I took a few shots right before these two got onto the bus for school, you know, in case their pictures didn’t turn out so great.
Wondering about the older kiddos? Didn’t happen. I might be jumping up and grabbing my camera on the way to the bus at 12:00 in the afternoon. But at 8:00 in the morning? No thank ye.
And I think Asher, Dalton and Sophie probably really appreciated that.
So here he is. Just look at my little man. So big, his first year to even be at school. And now he’s gone and had his first picture day.
They grow up too fast, don’t they?
And Isabelle… questionably the hardest person on the planet to photograph. Shoulder up? Awkward smile? Fidgeting? Skirt pulled up?
That’s my girl. And hard to photograph or not, I’m nutty over her.
Hoping the photographer did a better job than I this year.
Happy Friday, y’all. I am ever so glad the weekend is here!
