I told her I’d do this because I owe her one for sharing weekly on No Hands But Ours.
Actually, I owe her a whole lot more than one, because she’s been rockin’ out some great Whatever Wednesday posts over at NHBO for a loooong time. She never asks for anything in return and now that she has, how could I ever say no?
I’d have done it anyway, Tonggu Momma. ‘Cuz I love you.
So, without further ado, onto the aforementioned meme. I honestly didn’t think anyone did these anymore, but clearly I was wrong. So, what’s new?
1. What is your biggest pet peeve?
Ummm, people that say they’re Christians but don’t act like Christians.
I think I probably need to get in the ‘guilty’ line for this as well, not gonna lie.
Definitely something I am striving toward, and failing at daily, good golly… living in a way that pleases Him and not myself.
2. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
Honestly? China.
And just to say that scares the pants off me. When Jesus and I first met, I told Him I’d follow Him, just not out of the 48 continuous states. Clearly, He has a sense of humor because He managed to get this book in my hands.
It just confirmed what my husband and I had been thinking.
3. Have you ever been searched by the cops?
Ummm, no. Have you?
4. What is the one thing on your mind right now?
How we, even without knowing it, influence others. We either tear down or build up. By what we say and by what we do.
That’s a big responsibility.
5. Favorite song right now.
How He Loves by David Crowder
Knees to the Earth by Watermark. I seriously tear up almost every time I hear this song.
I know I was just supposed to pick one, but I couldn’t. I lack discipline in a big way.
6. What talent do you wish you had?
The ability to maintain an eternal perspective. Geesh, if I could do this? Whoa.
If I could focus on the things that matter to God, and disregard all the things that don’t… wouldn’t life be so much easier?
And, in turn, harder? But so much more rewarding?
7. Favorite drink.
Iced coffee. Specifically Starbucks Espresso Roast with lots and lots and lots of sugar and creamy-stuff thrown in.
Ask me what I’m thinking about now and question #4 is gonna have a whole different answer.
8. In one word, how would you describe yourself.
Rebellious. I’m the baby of the family, what can I say? Aren’t we supposed to be rebels?
Here’s where I’m supposed to tag eight really lucky people. Ahem.
I wanted to have a basis to choose said ‘tagees’, because in all my rebelliousness, I like a pinch of organization. Plus, I just have this on my heart after reading Kim’s post this morning, which I just loved by the way.
So I’m going to select eight women who have inspired me, encouraged me and pushed me to be a better person, a better mama, and a better follower of Christ.
Without even knowing it.
If I tagged you, feel free to play along, or not. I just wanted y’all to know that you’ve made an impact on me.
Kim from Three Peanuts
Katherine from Life of a Pilgrim
Shirlee from And Then There Were Seven
Adeye from No Greater Joy
Nicole from The Baker’s Sweets
Carrie from Signs of Hope
Linny from A Place Called Simplicity
and Diana from First a Pearl, then Two Rubies
Thanks y’all. For sharing your hearts.
You inspire me and I know you do the same for others.
Have you been inspired by a person, a blog, or a post you’ve read? Please share in the comments, if you’d like… I am sure it will be a blessing to others!

Your blog inspires me everyday; I love your honest, down-to-earth, (at times) really blunt, way of posting things. It helps remind me that I'm not alone in this Christian walk and there are others out there, in my area of the U.S. (not just down South…)I also love your ministry of Wild Olive Tees that you formed with your friends (proud owner of 'Beauty from Ashes') & of course the advocacy you have for children with special needs.
Another blogger that always inspires me is Patricia from "Little Cabin in the Woods" http://www.littlecabininthewoods.typepad.com
Happy Monday & as always, praying for your whole family, especially Miss Poppy! π

Oh wow. I am kind crying her on my keyboard. I am honored and humbled because as I have told you, YOU inspre me and have changed me heart. Thanks Stef.
Your answer to number 4 has been on my mind so much to. As we live out God's word, we touch so many and we never even know it. So, when we are NOT doing that we influence people too. Then I saw this
When a man's ways are pleasing to the LORD,
he makes even his enemies live at peace with him.
Proverbs 16:7 and it really stuck me. We would have so much peace in our world if we all did what God wants us to do. But as you state to have that eternal perspective is challenging on a day in and day out basis. I am REALLY working on that too.
Have a great weekend.
