ouch

This is the face that greeted me when I let the dogs in last night at approximately 11:30PM.

Chris and I spent the next 2 1/2 hours wrangling a surprisingly strong dog, trying to extricate the offenders from sweet, stupid Seamus’ face and leg.

One bugger was actually lodged inside his nose.

Minus the gagging, it was the closest thing we’ve had to a date night in weeks. At this age, and with as many kids as we’ve got, we’ll take what we can get.

Hope your weekend holds lots of surprises.

At least you got a semi date out of it!

Did you have to wear heavy/ garden gloves to get them out?

That look … it's priceless, and I feel SO sorry for him! Will he have learned his lesson or take on the porcupine again? Hmmm …
Way to make the best of the situation and make it a "date-night". Funny how parenting redefines that.
Hey, on another note, would you ever consider sharing your crock pot mongolian beef recipe that you referenced making last year?

Oh.My.Gracious. That just looks like too much fun for everyone. Not jealous {at.all.} of a date night like that! Think I'll pass on date night if that's what's on the 'menu'. And for real, you bring the kids and they can stay with us while you go away on a REAL getaway…like the overnight kind {for a few days}..not.even.kidding…it would be a crazy blast!

I guess I should be glad that our boxer has just been digging a ginormous hole by the deck, but something tells me that if given the opportunity, she wouldn't hesitate to attempt entertaining herself with a porcupine, either. Tell Seamus to go back to tearing apart planters!

I'll agree that Seamus is a dumb dog – if and only if – the next time he sees a porcupine he does ANYTHING but run the other way!

Still – I feel for him….and you guys – what a date night!

    hugs – aus and co.
