Sunday Snapshot: {sick day(s)}

We’ve been better.

But we’ve been worse, too.

The last two days, with our sickly selves, has afforded lots and lots of down time.

Something we all really needed.

Another thing that makes a sick crew feel better?

Plain food.

And powdered donuts make plain look pretty darn good.

And a little football… played from your back and tossing the ball to yourself, because no one else wants to move.

That, evidently, can make one feel better too.

And a little TV never hurt. Calliou, to be exact.

Even though neither of these munchkins are sick, they camped out in their PJ’s all day.

Nothin’ wrong with that every now and then.

And more bland food. What is that they say about feeding a fever? Or is that a cold?

Anyway, this was on it’s way to becoming Chicken Noodle Soup.

And it was good.

A bit of art with the littles is good for morale, too.

Especially mama’s morale. This masterpiece is signed with an “I love you, mom” on the back.

And when one runs out of paper, one must just think outside the box.

Like some stickers, carefully applied to the nose and cheeks. And forehead.

Another mood-lifter was the reincarnation of the labeler. A few fresh batteries, and we had labels a-plenty.

Labels like “i heart momsauce”.

And “I love you mom”. With accessory pipe-cleaner-heart…

with this kind of love going on, who wouldn’t feel better?

And lastly, some Apple Cake.

Hard to hate life too much with Apple Cake for dessert.

Unless of course, you’re still nauseous.

Thankfully though, we’re all over that.

For now.

Looks like you guys made the best out of being down; I agree – I'd be hard pressed to be sour if apple cake was on the table!

Sometimes, I love sick days. I mea, I don't love feeling bad – r having anyone else feeling bad – but KNOWING that we can't go anywhere or do anything..that's not always a bad thing!

Glad everyone is feeling a little better!

I can GUARANTEE that my Gang would have MUCH rather been hangin' with you guys, sick germs and all. Instead, I recruited Dr. D and The Boss for a major tackle. And LadyBug and Baby BlueEyes did Li'l Empress duty. Which was a two man job this weekend, as she was over-tired and snuffly and grumpy. But the MAJOR TACKLE is done. And I'm a happy Momma. Come on over and see what we got done ๐Ÿ˜‰
