the mug shot

I stare at this face all the time.

Not gonna lie, I was sorta surprised when I saw her for the first time.

For some reason I expected to recognize her…

and I didn’t.

But I sure do now.

We can’t wait to get you home, little one.

She's really quite stunning! Not only are her eyes incredible but she has the cutest little ears, nose and lips. Just wait until her hair grows in. You have the most gorgeous children and Poppy is no exception!

She does have those yummy big brown eyes that I could just get lost in!!

it is so weird that feeling when you first see their picture. I can't imagine you – having experienced it SIX times now!! I felt like Mya was the missing puzzle piece; the piece that made me whole. Truly, when I saw her for the first time – all that was wrong in the world, for a moment, seemed right.

I can't wait to see that brown eyed girl on your HIP!

and you know, Sara, it's been TOTALLY different every. single. time.
Sophie was the one that I knew immediately with… i'd have done anything to bring her home… I just knew I wanted to be her mama! And as I've said, Jude didn't send off any fireworks with me… but I could NOT love a kid more than I love that little man… so you never know!!

    Hi,

I opened your website I saw Poppy's face and Vivi's little picture on the right. I think they look like twin sisters in these pictures. Nose, lips, cheeks , just like Vivi ….and her eyes: beautiful!

Poppy is (and ALL of your children are!) adorable, and I hope you get to go get her soon!

My husband and I are in the "deciding on an agency" stage, and we're asking moms who've adopted SN kids from China which agencies they use, or ones they might recommend/stay away from. We're in TX. If you don't mind, would you help me out? πŸ™‚ So far, we've looked into AWAA, Dillon Int., AAC, WACAP, AGCI, and CCAI.

Thanks so much, and thanks also for helping me show my husband how well SNs children do, and how adorable big families can be!

Oh Stefanie, she is so beautiful!

I am struggling over a child's photo that I do recognize, but for what reason? I do not meet China's requirements so I wonder what my role is… a little bump in my road… I'll figure it out I suppose =)

Congrats again on your adorable new addition! It's a pleasure to be able to share in your journey!

She is so beautiful Stefanie! She looks so scared and so in need of a mommy and daddy and bunches of brothers and sisters….and her eyes will sparkle too! I love the "before" and "after" pics most. What a wonderful miracle it all is…and how beautifully blessed you are sweet friend! xo

Stefanie – Poppy is soooo adorable…and ya know what? The eyes are beautiful, but her lips are sooo sweet too…reminds me of Kaylin's sweet lips. πŸ˜‰ I know what you mean about their Mug Shots…they never do them justice. I was shocked to see how different and more beautiful Kaylin looked in person once she was in my arms. WOW! And then, of course, there's Kaleb's pic now…goodness….I've known him from the beginning….he has been sooo familiar to me in an unbelievable way. :0 Praying for God's speed for both of us to our children.

I LOVE her mugshot. You don't need to Photoshop or Lightroom that precious face, yet I can't wait to see photos of her through her mama's camera lens.

When I saw my adopted son's first photo, he wasn't what I expected and yet once I saw him, I knew he was meant to be mine. And then when I met him for the first time, he didn't look the same as he did in his one-dimensional photos, but still it was like I recognized him. It's funny how God weaves hearts and families together. I can't wait to watch God weave your newest blessing into your family.

    Much Love,
    Kathie

Something about the lips reminds me of Maya's mugshot. The eyes though, those are uniquely Poppy's own!!

I got the most amazing blessing yesterday regarding our little boy. I still can't believe it. It gives me chills. I'll have to come up with a NHBO post! Oh, and as of today, the dossier is DONE!

Well, a girl takes a blog break due to a ridiculous work schedule (interrupting all that I hold dear!) and WHAMMO….another munchkin on the horizon!

I am sooooooooooo thrilled for you…I just need to gobble her up, what a gorgeous little girl.

I am going to stalk your blog and search out every little detail! Can't believe I missed this and didn't congratulate you right away.
    So, here's a 100000000000 congrats!

    Thinking of all of you!
