If y’all have been around here long enough, y’all know about No Hands But Ours.
No Hands is an advocacy site for China’s special needs program, where we hope to share the real deal about adopting a special needs child.
And it is very, very close to my heart.

Y’all also probably know my good buddy, Tonggu Momma. Who just recently received her looooong-awaited referral for her precious little bundle of baby cuteness. Which means, basically, that our beloved TM is gonna be busy for a bit. She’s gettin’ ready to go get her baby, forgoodnessakes.
But that leaves a really big hole over at No Hands.
For the last few years, TM has posted a Whatever Wednesday post weekly – when she shares some links from around the blogosphere that focus on “life” with a special needs child.
So, this is where you come in. If you have a post you’d like to share on No Hands, or know of a post that you think would make a great link next Wednesday, let me know. You can leave a comment here, or on any posts here, or email me (link is up in the right hand corner).
As much as I love bloggy land, I just can’t manage to get around like I used to. And I’d sure appreciate y’all being an extra set of eyes and ears for posts that are encouraging, enlightening or just downright real-life nitty gritty.
I’ve heard from parents who have recently brought their children home from China. And they shared that reading about various special needs on No Hands really did make a difference in their decision-making process. It provided knowledge. It provided encouragement. It provided hope.
And it played a part in a child finding a forever family.
That, my friends, is some good stuff.
Let me know if you’ve got some good stuff to share, too!
So would you want an adoption special needs post or would a general special needs post of a non-adopted child work?
I know it was a great place when we were trying to decide what we could handle. It really helped my husband to see real kids with needs not just the needs themselves. I think it is time to head over there again and take a look around.
I’ll be on the look-out. Thanks for letting us know who to “alert!” The big question is…. who’s gonna help YOU when you get “busy for a bit” with your new little bundles of cutie pie cuteness? π Cuz it’s comin’, ya know?! π
I would love to help. If it is a blog of life with a special needs child, we are in the process of adopting our second special needs child and I love to write. markersmiraclesandme@blogspot.com
I’m (obviously) a huge fan of the New Day Foster Home blog (www.newdayfosterhome.blogspot.com). Lots of great folks and traffic have come through the “Whatever Wednesday” posts.
Great to know, Hannah!
TM has done an awesome job with her WW posts π

Thanks Kelly! Looking forward to checking these out!
http://somebodyneedsanap.wordpress.com/2010/10/07/cardiology-update/ that is a post TM missed last October on the update after our daughter’s heart cath. It has links to what a PDA is, what they use to close a PDA and how it is inserted. π
http://somebodyneedsanap.wordpress.com/2010/08/10/even-minor-surgery-isnt-minor-when-its-your-child/ – last August TM missed this one as well when they were SICK with something major- minor surgery isn’t minor when it’s your own child…
I’ve seen a few others and will help you out with those if you like in future weeks.
Livi is having her first surgery for cleft lip/palate this monday so maybe I can link you up with our progress and what’s ahead for her during this. I’m not as knowledgeable on the SN yet, but we’re learning so I don’t mind sharing where we’re at so far. Just let me know. Good luck!
Thank you so much, Stefanie! I appreciate y’all covering for me for awhile, til I get my sea legs back. *grin*

This definitely has my Christian slant. Can’t leave it out as He’s the biggest part of the journey. But I wanted to contribute this as I’ve had a lot of response to it.
