dinner tonight.

Just keepin’ it real.

This is what Sophie Lulu ate for dinner tonight.

Admittedly, I am still riding on the coattails of the homemade Memorial Day dinner I whipped up yesterday.

That took me a ridiculously long time to make.

But still.

Macaroni and cheese?

Out of the box?

For shame.

But some nights, especially Monday nights, I’m just happy if the kiddos can find something in the fridge that can stand in for dinner.

And smiles are optional.

But always appreciated.

Looks like she’s feeling much better! Hopefully the rest of the kids are healthy!

Puh-lease don’t feel guilty…my daughter eats mac ‘n’ cheese (from the box) at least once a week, and that’s not counting “Mac ‘n’ Cheese” cold lunch day for school. (I actually make a box in the morning and fill up her lunch thermos every Thursday. Oh yeah, and it’s Top Ramen day on Tuesdays. :0) She says it’s still warm by lunchtime.)

That looks so yummy. I love box mac n cheese especially when it is just made and still really creamy.

Counts in my house. Wednesday when we meet the hubs at our family bible study my big girl gets her own box of mac n cheese while my two littles scarf down their own packages of ramen. And I don’t even make them eat any veggies with their noodles. ๐Ÿ™‚

I didn’t know there was anything wrong with boxed mac & cheese… isn’t that the way m&c is supposed to be? That’s what it is at our house. Admittedly we don’t eat it very often, but that’s b/c the Huz is on a low carb deal, not b/c we’re above it.

Are you kidding? In the South, mac n cheese is a main course. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Looks good to me.

And that smile is definitely worth it. My โ€œbadโ€ is pancakes made by dad on the really difficult nights.

if it makes ya feel any better Stefanie, on Tuesday’s the ice cream truck comes through our neighborhood around 5:30. Which means we all get ice cream right before dinner, which also means this mama learned that NO ONE will eat dinner after a full belly of ice cream so there is no point in cooking. So yesterday, my kids ate hot Cheetos, ice cream, and cereal for dinner. And they are still alive today, so its all good ๐Ÿ™‚ I popped in a vitamin for good measure. hahaha!!
