Sunday Snapshot: {Labor Day}

Wah.

My sister and her family just left.

It had been over a year since we last saw each other.

Which is about a year too long.

The kids always play great together.

Which gives us a chance to catch up.

During their stay this time, we stuck pretty close to home.

With plenty of chow…

plenty of things to do…

and plenty of room to run…

it made for some happy kids.

And happy kids make for happy adults.

Then, add some dreamy weather.

And game of SPUD.

And well, let’s just say….

we had a good time.

Hope y’all had a dreamy Labor Day, too.

I know EXACTLY how you feel. My sister and I don’t get to see each other enough. She is my rock and my partner….missing her terribly everyday. Thanksgiving can’t come soon enough.

OMIGOSH! That last shot asleep at the table?! PRICELESS!!!!!! Love the vivid colors. And you really must tell us all about those ice cream cone things. WHAT are they?! I must know ๐Ÿ™‚

Happy Labor Day to you all. I’m softening butter and shortening to make some Oatmeal Butterscotch bars for tomorrow’s first day of school (for the bigs)…. Very mixed emotions going on about THAT.

Everyone looks great. I don’t blame Vivi for falling asleep. After a visit like that I think I would have too.

Wasn’t your oldest adopted nephew like the same size as your Sophie? What type of super protein drink does his family have him on? That kid has some TALL genes in his background!

Sounds like it was a great time!

What a wonderful weekend! I am so in awe and jealous of all the pictures you take. What’s that ice cream like thing? It looks fabulous, but doesn’t look like real ice cream.

      Thanks, Carol!
And no, those are definitely not real ice cream ๐Ÿ˜‰ It is a plastic ice cream set we got at Tar-jay a while back. Kids still love it!

    Stef,
First of all, your new home is absolutely beautiful…just breathtaking! And secondly, it seems little Poppy is always smiling and happy now ~just a radiant, playful, confident little girl…am i right?? that is my impression and it makes my heart smile to see the little girl who seemed so distant in China so very alive and joyous in her new home ๐Ÿ™‚
…I am wondering if you are in VA??
Anyway, good to see things taking a turn upwards for you!!
