So the question has been posed several times lately.
Did that tooth ever come out?
And I am happy to report that yes, yes it did.
It came out with a solid 1/4 inch of root still attached, too.
But that’s our Isabelle. Ready or not, once she wanted that tooth out, it was coming out.
And, clearly, she’s pretty jazzed about it.
Pretty jazzed about life in general, really.
She is in 1st grade this year.
At an entirely new school.
Isabelle craves structure, and routine. So she doesn’t do so well with change.
But she’s coping pretty well so far, and comes home most days exhausted but happy.
She and I are still not used to getting up at 5:30.
In the next few weeks we will have her first IEP meeting and, at that time, we’ll get their thoughts on how she’s doing.
And what the plan is to be sure she’s getting all the help she needs.
Here at home, Isabelle continues to be a happy girl.
Busy. And happy.
She just learned to ride her bicycle without the training wheels.
She loves her new room and the fact that she no longer shares a bed with her sister.
She’s in her own twin bed next to her older-by-five-months sister, Sophie.
Where she now nightly reminds Sophie that she lost her front tooth.
First.

Our girl is loving 1st grade too….so much older than kindergarteners you know. She hasn’t lost her upper teeth yet, but still wonders when that will happen. It is amazing that kids are so anxious to have their teeth out. Isabelle is such a beauty…love the tat
Her smile is precious!! Beautiful photos!
My daughter will work and work on a tooth once she discovers that it is loose. I know of one or two with a good amount of root still on them when they came out. Isn’t it funny how much it changes they way they look??? Love that snaggle-toothed grin! Hope she continues to love first grade!
Now we know the real reason she wanted it out so bad ๐
what a crack up! hope her IEP goes well and she has teachers who are positive and encouraging!
Yep, I feel your pain! Lizzie lost her first tooth (too early too) and now Em is all upset because her younger (by 2 months) sister lost hers first! She asks me to check and try and wiggle her teeth ALL the time. She is so desperate for a loose one! LOL! Precious Isabelle is just beautiful with and without that front tooth!
Awww. I love these. Too cute.
Congrats Isabelle on getting that tooth out! I’m sure it’s time was coming soon anyway!
And S—those fence rails are TO DIE FOR! I’d move there just so I could take pics there!
Nancy- of the crazy 8 (soon to be 9!)
Snaggle-toothed photos are the cutest! Happy Smilin’!
She’s such a doll! What a sweet “toothless” smile ๐
I love Isabelle’s new smile and her determination. What a cutie. i have no doubt she will do very well in her new school this year.
How precious. How long was her tooth loose? Isabella STILL has not lost a single tooth. She has two loose teeth….been loose since March…….been loose for six long months.
I just love those tooth-less shots!!!!
She’s one determined little girl! Love her new smile.
This is just the cutest post! My son pulled out all his teeth…ugggg I can still hear the tooth ripping from his gum. . . Oh! I hope she is like my Stephen ~ if so ~ you couldn’t ask for a better kid. How lucky!!!! ๐ She is a doll!
Yay for Isabelle!! ๐
What a cutie-pie!
Oh, these pictures just give a glimpse into how excited she is about that lost tooth. Love it.
Side not — kids mouths at this age totally whig me out! All those loose teeth and gaps! Eeck!
Absolutly LOVE that smile – and the ‘tat’ is pretty cool too! ๐
