hand-me-downs

I had never really considered saving the boys clothes for the girls.

But when Vivienne spied these “space jammies” in the boys’ old winter clothes, and asked oh, so sweetly if she could wear them, well… I couldn’t refuse.

I even had one in a smaller size for Miss Poppy.

Shhh. Don’t tell them they previously belonged to their big brothers.

These space jammies are all girl now.

Some of my girls’ favorite posessions are their “brother jammies.” Any time the older boys pass down some of their beloved superhero pajamas, the girls go CRAZY for them! I don’t have to tell you how adorable it is to see my little Princess sporting Superman jammies WITH a cape.

My girls are lovin’ wearing their big brothers’ coordinating sweaters and football jersies, too! I think they enjoy wearing them BECAUSE their big brothers did. And I have to say when I add bows to their hair with the boys’ clothes…it really does look girly!

Cute, cute cute! Love that your girls enjoy matchy-matchy!
And once we had a boy in the house, I started buying Carter’s Christmas pajamas in green instead of pink so that they could be passed down to either gender. This year Daniel will be wearing one of the sets that has seen three previous owners…

My grandmother bought me some boys pj’s when I was young. I was so excited to discover they had “pockets” only to realize with great embarrassment that it was a actually a “fly.” My grandmother kindly sewed up the fly and I was happy to wear them.

Yep – they look completly comfortable and huggable too!! But hey – from a guy perspective – it’s cool for girls to wear guys cloths – but strange for a guy to wear a girls!! We actually had a trick or treat’r that was a teenage guy wearing a girls school uniform – you know – white blouse and plaid skirt. Asked him about it – he lost a bet with his girlfriend….and I respect him for living up to it!!

    hugs – aus and co.
