the news

Y’all are too much.

I loved reading your guesses.

Some made me smile.

Buying a cow? Not it, but I do kinda like that idea.
Another pony? Hmmmm….
Going blond? The funny part was how I’d look after my over-processed fell out.

Some made me cry.

Victoria getting engaged? Not my baby! Engaged?
Getting a new puppy? Seriously, Seamus is enough puppy for everyone.
And moving… again? Makes me teary just thinking about it.

And some made me positively queasy.

Being pregnant? Oh my. No. NO. NOOOOOOOO!!

Our joyful news is a beautiful little blessing from China. But it’s not a boy.

It’s a girl!

Please join us in welcoming the newest member of our family, Tallula Mae.

Hopefully joining our crazy crew sometime this spring.

Details to follow.

OHMYWORD!!!!!!! So happy for you. So happy for little Tallulah. What a cool name by the way. Can’t wait to hear the story to your girl…. And so jealous that you can go again so soon. I guess doing them so close together makes re-using dossier and home-study and documents possible, huh? I feel like we’re learning the process all over again with this one. OH – and we announced her name, even though we’re still waiting to see her face. It helps me pray and makes us all feel more connected to the process. Here’s part of our story:

Congrats again. So fun to hear stories of more babies finding mommas. And daddies and lots of sibs, too!!!!!

btw, I am going to post this link in a couple of days and thought you’d get a chuckle of it … since you “out mom” the writer and all (haha!)
Maybe you’ve read it in the past. Although I cannot attest to having 9+ children, I will say going from 1 to 2 and even to 3 were easier than that transition from zero to 1.
    Enjoy!

And can’t wait for you to travel for your newest bundle. *Doesn’t look like there will be a huge transition time to get a smile this time around.
Hugs, Valerie (and SO glad it wasn’t a cow!)

Absolutely beautiful. I bet I speak for a bunch of us when I say–when you are ready–please tell us the whole story! I am inspired by your energy and love for the fatherless. Did you happen to be an incognito co-author of “Crazy Love” or “Radical”? Your family exemplifies the messages of these books so well–truly inspiring. Talk about leaving a legacy–I think you have it covered…you do realize you are going to have a bizillion grandkids right??

We are actively working on trying to raise our income to be able to bring a little one home from China. We miss the income requirement by a few thousand dollars–so it’s holding us back–this has grieved my soul, but I am praying for God’s will and His timing.

    Once again, congrats!!

Yes, a bizillion grandkids would be WONDERFUL ๐Ÿ™‚ My kids are already talking about wanting to adopt when they grow up, so that should make for some awesome family reunions!

P.S. China will issue income waivers for SN adoptions! I’d call several agencies to find one that will work with you… I know there are several out there that will!!

I had a feeling when you announced you were going on a 21 day Daniel fast if there might be another little one. But how are you able to go back so quickly? One agency has told us we have to be home with our newest one for at least 6 months before we can even consider another child and some agencies make you wait a year. I’m just curious how you are able to go back so quickly? No matter though, I am so happy for you and your ability to do so! Can’t wait to hear more! God is so good!!

So, I just have to ask, how in the world do you bring them home so fast? I think our process takes triple the time as it seems yours take. Maybe its our agency? We brought home our little guy from Zhejiang in March of 2010 and applied again in November 2010. We are still waiting to bring home our daughter from Fujian. I am amazed at how fast you guys seem to get through the process. I already am looking forward to starting the process again after we travel, so I was wondering what your strategy is?! I know you are super busy, but if you have time I would just love to know. ๐Ÿ™‚

SO EXCITING!!!!!! Love her precious face and her name…..I am already thinking of her as little Tally!!!!!! Can’t wait to hear all the details. And supporting another addition to the family.
I was excited to learn that you live in the Southeast. I do also, in North Carolina. Maybe some day I can meet your wonderful family in person.

Ok I already commented but I have to comment again. I need to tell you that you and your family have ministered to my heart without even knowing it, without even knowing me……the closeness in time to your adoptions (especially Poppy and your latest sweet-pea) have given my heart so much comfort….I have been worrying that our current adoption would be our only one, and thinking maybe I am crazy to already have the desire to bring more home when we are not even finished bringing home our first one! God has used to tremendously to help and encourage me, there is so much joy in your blog! May He richly bless each and every one of you. Much love to you from Canada.

Thank you for being so obedient to our Heavenly Father. You are such a blessing to this almost forty, never-married girl. It’s hard to explain but your open heart toward these beautiful children touches the “mother” in mine and reminds me again of how sovereign God is in His plans for us. Blessings to you….
