Sunday Snapshot: {the Shepster}

It’s been more than a year since my last Sunday Snapshot on Shepherd.

And so, it was most definitely time for another.

Our littlest guy is knocking on 5 1/2.

And getting taller, and sillier, by the day.

He’s still a little dude.

But he continues to stay on his own curve.

Right around the 1%ile.

And as far as he’s concerned, he’s just the right size.

In fact, he seems quite happy with his size.

It seems to work for him.

He’s a pretty confident cat.

And he’s counting the days until kindergarten starts in the fall.

He loves to tell a story. Boy, does he love to tell a story.

His favorite subjects are his daddy, Lighting McQueen and Power Rangers.

In that order.

He also enjoys being in the spotlight, which can be a pretty tall order in this big ol’ family.

But Shep manages just fine.

In this shot, Shep was regaling a tale in which his daddy hid in the closet and jumped out to scare him.

And, to give the story a little extra kick, he went on to act out the scene.

Hand gestures and all.

Aw, Shep.

You are something special.

And we can’t wait to see the mark we know you’re going to leave on this big ol’ world.

when you brought each of your boys home we were in the adoption process. expecting a girl. based on your journeys to your boys i told my husband we were going to have to adopt a boy next. to our surprise, when we received our much prayed for child’s referral, it was a boy!
all that to say, watching your boys grow up is a blessing to us, as they are just two of the ways Dad pricked our hearts as he was preparing us for our boy.
and it’s good to hear how they’re doing. because you see, our boy is tiny also. like shepherd. and it sounds like they have something else in common, their personalities are bigger than texas (that’s what we texans say). and that’s saying a lot!
please keep the updates comin’! 😉

Every single one of your kids are absolutely the BEST looking kids! Shep is certainly no exception. I love reading your posts about your new little ones, but it so fun to also read about your older special needs kids. I always love seeing how they have grown and merged into the rest of the family, but also love seeing how their need has been handled…..in Shep’s case his feet, which are absolutely perfect.

    So cute!
I added my Sunday Snapshots several hours ago, but it must have gotten snagged somewhere as it says the link is already there, but it hasn’t shown up. When I get home I should be able to do this better. Sorry for the confusion.
