Up at 1:45.
AM.
Showered, finished packing and into the car by 2:30.
AM.
Hardest part was kissing my babies goodbye.
And yes, a few tears were shed.
On my part.
Thankfully no one else cried, or I’d have been toast.
The promise of big sister Victoria coming tomorrow was enough to chase any boohoos goodbye.
The flight to Dulles was easy-peasy.
Dalton’s first time on a plane, and he looked like a pro.
We were on the ground by 7:30.
Our next flight takes off at about 12:30.
So we’ve got about 5 hours to burn.
Next post will be from Wuhan, y’all.
So grateful for all the prayers going up on our behalf and on behalf of our girl.
oxoxoxo,
one tired mama

Yay! Olivia and I are spending a week in Wuhan in June so I can’t wait to see your photos and the city through your eyes. Can’t wait to see Miss Tallula either! Have a great flight!
As if Easter at all were not enough, this will be one AMAZING Easter. Thanks for living out His vertical adoption of us in a horizonal way before us all. Prayers, praise, and joy.
You had to get up at 1:45? Did you even bother going to bed?
It’s so good to hear the 1st leg of the trip went smoothly. You have my prayers that that will continue.
I’m tired FOR you, just thinking of trying to stay awake till your next flight! Hopefully, you’ll get some sleep on the plane, and the flight will go quickly! Will keep you in our prayers…can’t wait to see Tallulah with her family!

Dalton- first time on a plane?!?! Wow. (If you’re gonna go, go big, right?)
Love to your family.
We eagerly await each and every update.
How special to share this experience with Dalton. Lifting you up all in prayer now! Love & Blessings, Kim
I am a long time lurker. We brought home our daughter around the time you brought home Shepard. My friends Amy and John (and little Ava) are on a flight today from Dulles to Bejing to bring home their newest. If you are on the same flight and happen to see a woman with long red curly hair that is Amy. Say hello! She is fantastic!
So excited! Y’all remain in our prayers for safe travels and an amazing time! Can’t wait to follow along! Thanks so much for sharing! Blessings!
Dusty

Wishing you a safe and easy trip–if that (easy) is possible for an adoption trip! Praying for y’all.
So excited for you guys! Safe travels and cant wait for your next post!
I am so excited for you. We are hoping to leave in about 6 weeks to meet our little boy in Anhui. Also, | know this comment is a bit late, but we are on our fourth trip to China and we have confirmed that they do sell clothes in China. I took way too much on my first trip to China which ended in a failed adoption and us bringing home a little one who was no where near the size of the little one we thought we would be bringing home. Since then, we have brought very little in the way of kids clothing. Just something to tide us over for a day until we can get to the local store. This has been a great plan and fabulous (and light) way to travel.
Praying for you all xoxo
May your journey be blessed!
You’re amazing! What an incredible legacy you are going to leave behind! I am so beyond thrilled for everyone that gets to be apart of this story! Can’t wait to be thinking that we’re in the same country! 🙂
You do not even know how EXCITED I am for you guys! We are CONSTANTLY thinking of you and Dalton and Praying it all goes smoothly! Can’t wait to finally SEE Tallula in your arms! God bless!

I am not stalking or anything…I would NEVER do that. I would never refresh your site 100 times to see if you’ve landed and had the energy to post yet. Nope. Not me. Never.
