… and here we go.

Up at 1:45.

AM.

Showered, finished packing and into the car by 2:30.

AM.

Hardest part was kissing my babies goodbye.

And yes, a few tears were shed.

On my part.

Thankfully no one else cried, or I’d have been toast.

The promise of big sister Victoria coming tomorrow was enough to chase any boohoos goodbye.

The flight to Dulles was easy-peasy.

Dalton’s first time on a plane, and he looked like a pro.

We were on the ground by 7:30.

Our next flight takes off at about 12:30.

So we’ve got about 5 hours to burn.

But we’re managing just fine.

Next post will be from Wuhan, y’all.

So grateful for all the prayers going up on our behalf and on behalf of our girl.

oxoxoxo,
one tired mama

As if Easter at all were not enough, this will be one AMAZING Easter. Thanks for living out His vertical adoption of us in a horizonal way before us all. Prayers, praise, and joy.

You had to get up at 1:45? Did you even bother going to bed?
It’s so good to hear the 1st leg of the trip went smoothly. You have my prayers that that will continue.

I am a long time lurker. We brought home our daughter around the time you brought home Shepard. My friends Amy and John (and little Ava) are on a flight today from Dulles to Bejing to bring home their newest. If you are on the same flight and happen to see a woman with long red curly hair that is Amy. Say hello! She is fantastic!

I am so excited for you. We are hoping to leave in about 6 weeks to meet our little boy in Anhui. Also, | know this comment is a bit late, but we are on our fourth trip to China and we have confirmed that they do sell clothes in China. I took way too much on my first trip to China which ended in a failed adoption and us bringing home a little one who was no where near the size of the little one we thought we would be bringing home. Since then, we have brought very little in the way of kids clothing. Just something to tide us over for a day until we can get to the local store. This has been a great plan and fabulous (and light) way to travel.
