Tallula: day 2

Today was adoption day.

It’s a done deal.

And we couldn’t be happier.

But, instead of giving y’all the details on the day, I thought I’d share a bit about Tallula.

Because really, isn’t that a whole lot more fun?

She is bold.

She is smart.

She is loud.

She is happy.

She is naughty.

She is independent.

She is messy.

She is loquacious.

She is oh-so-squeezable.

And she is not nearly as big and I had anticipated – about a 2T.

No doubt, she is going to turn our house upside down… in the most wonderful way.

Buckle up, kiddos.

Oh my stars. Every family needs a little “Tallula” spunkiness in the mix! Thanks for sharing the precious shots. She is beyond cute! I am thinking snapshot Sundays may get a little spicy!
And thanks for the added bonus of a new vocab word. Ha! Yes, I looked up “loquacious” just to confirm I knew the meaning! Talkative. Yep, I will be slipping that word in at some point in my conversations today!
Seriously … so happy for you and yours.
Praying for continued joy in this blessed journey!

Many congratulations to you and the family on your newest addition! She’s beautiful, mom. I know that no two children or adoption journies can or should be compared, necessarily, but I can’t help recalling pictures of your trip for Poppy – how scared, how sad, how frail she looked. My heart ached for her, and for you, and all the “hard” I knew you must be experiencing in that time of transition. But in all these photos of Miss Tallulah, she just radiates joy! And SPUNK! And while I know these photos don’t tell the whole story, they make me smile and hope that this trip and this transition are going somewhat smoother for you (and Dalton, lucky boy!) I will continue praying for you all in the days ahead. Thank you for sharing your heart, and for updating so regularly…it’s lovely to be able to follow along on your journey!

She sounds SO MUCH like my Spicy Little Wuhan girl! This is a lot like how our first few days went. I’m positive her sweet foster mother shared our pictures often as well. Our Amelia slept VERY well for a day or two, then kind of broke loose when we got to GZ. We had sleep issues for at least 9 months after, but it has gotten much better. She was very busy and happy during the day, but her grief came out ten-fold at night. Enjoy your time in Wuhan. I miss it so much.
