Tallula turns two

And so, we celebrated.

With cupcakes and sprinkles, of course.

Poppy did the honor of blowing out the candles, in the birthday girl’s absence.

And then, it was cupcake time.

I took this sugar-induced moment to ask everyone to share their thoughts on their newest sister, just days before she will become an official member of our family.

Poppy: Uh. Lula. (nodding. and eating.)

Vivienne: Ummm…. I don’t know. I think she’s cute.

Shepherd: I’m going to help Tallula with some stuff… what she needs. And I’m going to share my cars with her. And I’m going to push her on the swing. And I can lay a blanket around her. I can do that, too.

Jude: I’m going to play with her. With my magnets. And I’m going to show her all our bikes.

Isabelle: She is beautiful. I love her in my heart. I will play with her – hide and seek and tag. I will help her get in her highchair and give her some milk. Because babies love milk.

Sophie: I think that she’s going to be funny, because I remember when we saw a picture of her, when she took her shoe off on the playground… she was being funny.

Dalton: She might be pretty independent. But she might still want to sleep with you. I am very excited to meet Tallula.

Asher: I think she’ll be shy. But I think, when she comes out of her shell, she’ll be lots of fun. Oh, and I think she’ll probably be pretty curious.

Happy Birthday, little one.

We can’t wait to discover the wonder that you are.

Sweet comments. Your family is beautiful. Just a word to the wise, though…keep the magnets away from the littles! They’ve been known to swallow them, and they can do a lot of damage, even kill. The hospitals are reporting more cases all the time. Enjoy your trip and keep us posted, as always. You’re good about that. πŸ™‚

      Thanks, Deborah.
They’re actually Magnatiles – he just calls them his magnets. Totally kid-safe!

I don’t know whether I’m just having a “girly emotional” day, or whether your children’s words really are worthy of tearing up?!! Think I loved Isabelle’s comments the most, but collectively… I just feel the love!
