six percent :: an update

I shared about Jude’s clubfoot relapse. And going for an MRI a few weeks ago.

And y’all were so awesome to say some prayers for our little man.

So I wanted to give an update. Short and sweet.

We got the results late this week. And it was very, very good news.

Jude’s MRI was completely normal.

So now we know his condition is straightforward clubfoot. All he needs from here is two casts, followed by a surgery. And then a bunch of rehab, but I don’t want to think about that right now.

We’ll get started with his casts in early and mid July, and his surgery is set for July 26th. So grateful for the team at University of Iowa – it may be a 17 hour drive, but I’d drive anywhere to know that our little guy is in the safest of hands.

Will continue to keep y’all posted on Jude. And his had-to-be-in-the-6%-couldn’t-be-in-the-other-94% foot.

    That smile is priceless. Praying that all the casts and surgery ahead doesn’t take it away this summer ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Great news! (I think) Guess this news is the better of two possibilities. It won’t be a fun summer for Jude but the end result will be WELL worth it.

    We’ll keep the prayers going.

    Stefanie-
    My Jude just stopped wearing his braces. I’m so scared he’ll revert. There’s nothing I can do though.
    Thx for sharing that even if it happens, it’s all ok. Even the 6% is still treatable.
