Can I just say, I love summer! The Snapshots y’all linked this week just screamed summer fun to me – smiles, blue skies and water!
Some of my favorites from this week…
From Gail at Aging with Grace and Strong Will – I love everything about this shot. I want it blown up on my boys’ bedroom wall.
Kate at And So We Wait – a serene moment on the beach with her beautiful daughter, Jillian. The colors, the composition, the insanely cute suit and swim cap… I can almost feel the sand between my toes.
Snaps of our Life – it’s a gorgeous sunset times two… the reflection doubles the light and adds so much drama to this beautifully composed shot.
Diana at First a Pearl then Three Rubies – oh, that smile! The shot is tack sharp and the blues are just gorgeous. This was Ruby’s first swim meet, she even won her heat, and Diana managed to capture this gorgeous shot in the excitement of the day.
And Jill at Lilah Grace – celebrating Lilah’s 5th birthday. If that isn’t a kid’s dream-come-true birthday party, I don’t know what is. Look at the paint splatters on her arms and shoulder… what fun! The expression on the birthday girl’s face says it all.
The winning shot for this week belongs to Diana. Her picture will be entered into this month’s Sunday Snapshot post, to be voted on by y’all, the readers. The June winner will receive a spot in Push Past Your Comfort Zone, a photography course offered by Lisa from The Long Road to China.
If your photo was featured today, feel free to grab this button for some blog swag. If you like blog swag.
I like to say swag because it’s something my oldest daughter says. And so I like to throw it down every now and then. Because I’m supremely uncool that way.
If you haven’t joined in yet, but want to improve your photography skills, I hope you’ll give it a shot. And be sure to read the other Sunday Snapshots linked each week, many of them have details on the settings as well as photography and/or editing tips.
See y’all on Sunday!
